I think this video should have been called 'Julie & Mike go on Safari!' All those ponies, cows, guinea-fowl and rogue doggy! I once came across a New Forest pony with its head in a litter bin. I wrongly went to stroke it and got growled at. Never again! Glad you had some breakfast Mrs Julie!🍌🥣 Did you feel the difference?! Great ride as always.
Thanks Anne 👍❤️ I was a good girl and I ate all my breakfast up. 👌😂 It did definitely make a difference. 💪🏻 New forest ponies are lovely but don't get too close to the back end either. 😂
You are amazing Julie, getting back on the bike so soon and doing a Mike's not so fast 20mph !! Keep it up. Mike Di2 etc is ok if you always remember to charge the battery(s). I have been on a couple of rides and the riders batteries have died, a real faf getting home. Good old cable may be slower changing and no app to set up, but simple is good for me and I can fix when required (no servo motors or electronics to worry about)....
Thanks Martin. 👍 I've recovered well from the op. Chemo starts Monday. 🤞🤞🤞 I enjoyed being out on the bike with Mike again even if we did go further than i wanted to. 😜
Fair play Wheeler’s Bostin ride and no bonking so Mike was right again julie eating breakfast makes a difference 😂if you only listened 3762 times ago Mike would not have to repeat himself Mike can’t say this though but I can as I’m three hours away by car but I’m still frightened 😂😂😂😂😂😂 PS. Looking good 👍
Looking good Julie, so good to see you on bike, and I’m definitely with you about the last 5mls of a ride. Mike Di2 is terrific, once you’ve used it you’ll not want to go back to mechanical
@@cathschofield7488 I'm sure I'd be a pretty quick convert. On the few occasions I've tried Di2 it felt weird not pushing a lever 😁 and being ham fisted I didn't hit the button first time every time either 🤣 Thanks for commenting
Julie looking fantastic ! Mike , purchased a new Giant TCR last fall, chose the build with the mechanical 105, works flawlessly and great value, had the option to choose the electronic but felt in the long run just too many issues can arise, local bike shop agreed
@@796monster Yes I like the mechanical and Julie's is flawless too. Electronic feels like the next step and there are more options now. Thanks for commenting 👍
Mike, if you lob electronic shifting onto your bike I don't think even the most hardened of cycling purist would be surprised or upset. Now, if you were to bung an electric motor on it, or just buy an E-Bike 🧐😳 now that would be an entirely different matter! 🤣 Great ride you two!
@@micks61 Ah! I may have an ebike for a very specific application very soon... Maybe 😁 Lots of electronic shifting options these days, that's what got me interested. Cheers Mick
@@WheelersAtLarge Hold up... wait a minute... An e-bike for a specific application? Sounds intriguing...🧐 Must be a cargo bike... 🤔 yeah, that's what I'm going for, it's a cargo bike for doing the big shop of a Saturday morning... 😎😉
So I know your route immediately after the Cider pantry on the way into Ringwood and you obviously went straight over at the junction to go along to the left hand turn and avoid the steep snake through Burlet Street, but then where did you go after you had been through the traffic jam of horses that are often in that spot. You cross the little ford and come back up to the main road, did you then turn right up to Smugglers Lane or where/ Also, if you can get electronic shifting, it is fantastic in my opinion only of course. Thanks. K
@@johnsmith-ke2sr We went across past Smugglers car park then left down Charles' Lane to the Bransgore Road for a couple of miles then turned right through Ripley, down past the Lamb Inn to Waterditch and the footbridge in to Christchurch at Purewell. Cheers John
Don't buy the electronic shifter hype. Just like disc brakes, everybody bought them so manufacturers went all in, and now sensible consumers like me can't find spare parts. Please don't do that to us with drivetrains.
