I'm learning Spanish because the first time I visited Spain, I met a lovely lady working in my hotel who was so kind and welcoming at a time when i was really unhappy, and she taught me a little Spanish, and I want to keep learning for her so the next time I go back to Spain, I can thank the people for their hospitality in their own language.

@@youhavetogotheretocomeback hi! don't worry too much about time, it'll be quicker to move from super beginner to beginner than it'll be to move from beginner to intermediate but thats perfectly normal so don't let it discourage you in the future. I'd say if you watch a few videos every day then you'll be really surprised at how quickly you can move onto intermediate vids, the key is to do it daily!!!! Once you feel quite comfortable with the intermediate vids, the RUclips channel 'español con Juan' is the perfect next step and he has free podcasts too 😊 good luck!

Thank you so much for these videos! I've been interested in Spanish at least since my first (ineffective) class in Jr High years ago. I've made a few attempts with other methods, but never stuck with it long. This way is so much more fun! Much less hard work, and I can tell it's going to be so much better for me, the frustration level is so much lower. I think my kick in the pants to try again is how many native Spanish speakers live in my area now.

im 15 days in learning and i understood 85% of the whole video!
I think it helps that I also use Duolingo to learn vocabulary. But I believed that (nouns, pronouns, verbs, adverbs, subject, direct and indirect objects, conjugates, imperative forms, reflexive pronouns subjunctive text, prepositions....) there had to be a better way. THIS IS IT! Digital animation is the way to replace the current videos. In the meantime these videos allow me to listen in context. I am fighting the habit of stopping the video and looking up words. Staying focused on the big picture really helps, and I even get the injected humor. This was a long way to say thank you!

I am studying Spanish because I made a lot of Mexican friends at Burning Man and I've visited them twice in Guadalajara and Tulum. Although they speak perfect English, I would like to learn Spanish to communicate with them even better. I also have a neighbor that only speaks Spanish and I would like include him in the conversation more when his family comes to cook outs at our house.
My reason is mostly to travel to and connect with people in latin america. I can even potentially see myself living in one of the countries for some time.
Pablo, I would LOVE to see a dreaming Spanish podcast come out in the near future. My guess is that it would be easier (less time intensive) to produce than the videos, but perhaps I'm mistaken.
Would the audio from the videos work? Or something completely different?

Mi motivo para aprender español es J.Lo. 😊 La primera canción en español que había escuchado fue No me ames por J.Lo y Marc Anthony, cuando era niño. Me encantaba el sonido de la lengua, quería sonar como ellos, quería saber de qué se trata esta canción. Esto me hizo aprenderlo.
Por razón número 3, amor. También, quiero para hablar con otras personas y aprender mucho. ¡Es muy divertido!

Quiero decir gracias por todo lo que haces en tu canal con todos los niveles. Me encanta que hay material para los principiantes como mi hija y tb para mi, y a veces podemos disfrutar algunos videos juntos.... como tu serie de las chicas que viven en un piso y todo aquel drama de amor y todo. Fue muy enganchado. Mi motivo de aprender el español es que me mola mucho y tengo una amiga que es una de mis amigas favoritas y ella no habla bien en inglés.... pues si quiero charlar con ella, es menos pesado si puedo comunicar con fluidez.... sabes? Entonces, esta amistad me da ánimo mejorar. Además, si Dios quiere y las normas del coronavirus nos permiten, tenemos planes visitar España y visitar a ella en la primavera . Y quiero tener un nivel bastante avanzado para impresionar a la gente! Jajajaj.

I saw you listened to thai for 2,000 hours. In the beginning how did you stay focused and not day dream in the middle of what you were listening to?
My first 1000 hours of Thai were in a school with really funny teachers that kept us engaged and interested in what they were saying. I did lose focus and start day dreaming every now and then, but by choosing the topics and teachers I liked I managed to stay focused most of the time.
I haven't heard of any great Spanish authors. I'm not saying there aren't any; I just haven't been exposed to Spanish literature. Any recommendations for great books and/or authors?

Hola! Me gustaron estes videos. Tiene buenos razones con lo que estoy de acuerdo.
1- la musica es un razon muy importante para mi tambien, yo creo que yo se ingles un poco mejor que mis amigos es porque siempre he encontrado la letras de canciones me gusta y siempre he cantado esos. Y ahora yo hago la mismo con los canciones en espanol. Es la verdad la musica espanola es muy diferente, eso es como todo el mundo nuevo para descubrir y me hace feliz :)
2 - comida. No se si nada de comida, nunca lo pruebe pero yo creo que voy a encontrar las recetas.
3- La razon numero 3 me hizo reir. Pero si...me entiendo, por Blas Canto tambien voy a aprender espanol :D
4- Para viajar! Mi esposo tenia una idea a ir a espania en 2026 para ver el eclipse del sol y yo piense que, bueno, tan mucho tiempo! Tengo el aportunidad de aprender espanol muy bien antes este tiempo :D
5 - peliculas y libros. Me gusta mucho leer. Mis favoritos escritores hispanohablantes son G.G.Marquez y P. Coelho

Pienso que las razones para aprender el español son: 1) la comida; 2) las playas; 3) las vistas y la arquitectura en España; 4) las compras, en especial las camisetas con imagenes de los sitios especiales; 5) el medicamento (yo no puedo encontrar los mismos medicamentos en EEUU que en España) y hay una crema para las moretones que funciona súper que súper bien. -Una estudiante de los 11 años que ya visitó España
