This is not a misunderstanding. It is a scandal. The attitude of this police officer is absolutely lamentable. we see in the videos that he was half mad with rage when he rushed at the car and what's more, he lied, which is extremely serious for a representative of the order.

So now it's been proven that the officer got his pride wounded and his temper flared, thus throwing a bunch of serious and bogus charges at Scottie. This should not be legal. All the other officers at the scene knew it was bs too. This is unconstitutional at best. THE STATE HAS A DUTY TO PROSECUTE THE CRIMINAL ACTS OF THE OFFICERS INVOLVED...
the Prosecutor is as corrupt as the Police...
the "Officer" committed false arrest, false imprisonment, aggravated assault, aggravated battery, mis-malfeasance, falsifying charges, falsifying government documents, deprivation of rights; the "Officer" is also the sole cause if 95% of his injuries Latching onto a moving automobile when he could have (being an accident scene recreation expert) instead pounded on the hood or trunk to get the driver's attention...
the Prosecutor is also REQUIRED to disclose exculpatory evidence, AND prosecute the "Officer" if there is evidence of the "Officers" wrong doing...

So your going to decide who should be hired to talk about golf on a media outlet? Is that right? Bad for golf? Brandel Chamblee might not be your style reporter, but for a long time he has been hired by Golf Channel to do several jobs on air and does them professionally and well by normal broadcast standards. Since LIV came on the scene abruptly by poaching PGA talent, he stated correctly "Why would someone just take LIV money and not think of their legacy in the game and not compete in events that EARN world ranking points for future events and Majors that require top players to earn their spots, UNLESS all they want is $$$$ and not care about where it came from " He stated what most viewers that follow the PGA believed to be the issue at the time. Until LIV came on the scene you rarely saw comments such as yours about the evil bad unfair PGA and of course the terrible Golf Channel? Coincidence, I doubt it.

A few bad apples, huh? You see how fast they were to defend an officer that turned off their body camera AND lied on an official police report? The cops never framed this as a Scheffler's word vs to officer's word, they defended the institution as a whole, ready to lock up Scottie rather than admit to Judge Dreddism. They'll claim to be individuals when it suits their purpose, and a fraternity when the situation serves them.
Then to say a lawsuit would only hurt the taxpayers, why is it that city coffers being drained by lawsuits is the only way to question an officers employment? You have got to make it easier to remove dirty cops and stop acting like a mafia.

I don't exactly disagree...but It is a few bad apples. However, it isn't an insignificant 'few'. It only takes 1 in like 50 or so....they can almost destroy a city's morale with that. What is absolutely true is that about 99.9 percent of whatever is in that department will close ranks and protect the rotten one like penguins in an ice storm.

Daily Mail ran an article this morning that details the recorded conversation between Scottie and a police officer while Scottie was being held in the back seat of the police car following his arrest. It corroborates what he’s said from the beginning about what happened and is also pretty eye-opening with respect to the light it shines on attempts to get a suspect to incriminate himself.

I know he won’t, because he should sue them for false arrest. This particular police department is well known for overstepping their authority, undue force, profiling, etc. I hope the PGA sends a message and keeps major competitions out of this state.

I think that most of us predicted this. Shortly after the charges were laid and before the mayor spoke to the public I expect that the DA was trying to find a way to gracefully withdraw the charges. This was clearly a combination of an out of control officer and the thin blue line covering for him. The Officer, the police chief and anyone else involved should be held accountable.

The prosecutor changed his tune completely. Last week he was a complete jackass in court, insisting Scottie be present at the arraignment and making ridiculously pig-headed arguments. It was a total disgrace. Today, a complete and total change. The reason: there were eye witnesses who were going to refute the cop's story. This was a false arrest, pure and simple. The cop was beligerent and on a power trip. Shame on Louisville. Shame on the police. Shame on the prosecutor. The PGA should NEVER schedule a tournament in Louisville ever again. A pox on their house.

This is a great misjustice. The golfer is playing this as a scared person, He needs to stop being a dumb a hole, all one has to do is listen to his word. The bottom line is do you known who I am. YES I know who you are, a person who do not respect the law. If you see flashing light ahead of your car, do not be an dumb asssss person and proceeds. The Cop was wearing yellow and shouted out for the dumb golfer to stop, but he did not and keep moving. So the Cop grabbed him to get his ATT. this is the bottom line.
