Anyone surprised in NY, the heroes get arrested, and the criminal gets to get out
I left the city for rural NY last year. Was so tired of this and so many other issues of living there. It was getting pretty good after Giuliani took office. Now it seems like it's almost back to the fear and misery level New Yorkers had in the 80s. Good luck to everyone out there.
You should of left NY State completely. NY is a welfare state, full of failed smaller cities. Like Binghamton, Rochester, Poughkeepsie, Newburgh etc. Even Sullivan County, The Catskills has the highest rate of opioid deaths. And a high rate of people’s on government assistance. No respect for the 2nd Amendment in Hocul’s NY. Worse now than under Cuomo. Self defense practically illegal. Also a terrible state for retirees. Orange County is now the 6th borough of NYC. And is the place where the American dream goes to die!

I know what you mean.. It also just feels like there is a bad energy in the air these days.. People are rude and uptight, everybody is so unfriendly and all you get are nasty looks like they just want to stare you down all the time.. Maybe the country being so politically divided isn't helping who knows.. I wish I could leave for a smaller town but I have to stay here for many more years..
Messana New York or Canton NY for me soon best two places of rural living out their can't wait to return in a few years.

Adams and Hochul is disaster.
Adams yes.. Hochul not so much.. she's atleast trying to cancel the no cash bail and increase police and not hiding behind stats. Meanwhile Adams is corrupt as hell and just embezzling money from the city with contracts for his friends and family while not even filing tax returns correct.. Adams is as corrupt as Trump.

NYC needs a law similar to Florida. Florida's “10-20-Life” law, is a criminal statute, § 775.087, that requires judges to order mandatory minimum sentences of 10 years, 20 years, or 25 years to life for the commission of certain convictions for felonies involving the use or attempted use of a firearm or destructive device.
If America'd largest city looks like this, this is scary for the entire country

Crimes occur in all colors and Communities. For example the Long Island Serial Killer, took years to arrest this predatory pervert because the media only wants to focus on one or two groups.

Mayor Adams and Alvin Bragg are some real pieces of work, having the audacity to make public statements about how theyre concerned and "working on it", whilst also patting themselves on the back for an extremely minor drop in some crime(which can easily be attributed to simple variance, its not hard for there to be a small drop in crime over the last month or two, when the months prior to that crime was unusually high).
This is the same Mayor, and more importantly the same DA who helped to abolish cash bail, and part in parcel to the various DA's who either refuse to prosecute certain criminals, or are far too lenient in their prosecution of certain criminals. Make no mistake, and dont believe any of their empty words, their actions have continuously shown that they care more to protect criminals, than they care to protect law-abiding hard working citizens...nor do they want us law-abiding citizens to have the ability to PROTECT OURSELVES too.

Crime plummeted when Guiliani was mayor. The mayor, before him, David Dinkins, was an absolute joke. Homicides were topping 2000 a year. All Dinkins did was have the airlines reroute their flights out of the airport. You see, Dinkins liked his daily tennis game. He found that jetliners flying overhead disrupted his concentration. He did all he could, and succeeded, to get the airport to change the runaways to which flights would land and take off. Yeah, Dinkins knew his priorities. One of the worst mayors that NYC would ever suffer through.

Make no mistake though, even with the Supreme Court overruling an unconstitutional law, thereby making it so that law abiding NYers can get concealed carry permits, the DA's office and politicians have been playing games, trying to figure out loopholes to prevent people from being able to do so.
