That was my first thought as well but it turns out that 화 can also mean "fire" 화상 - burn 소화기 - Fire extinguisher It's a little disappointing, I really wanted the literal translation of volcano to be "angry mountain", but I think "fire mountain" makes more sense haha
What Toby said here is right, that 화 means "fire". But still, if "angry mountain" is either easier or funnier for you to memorize "화산" it's still good for you, I suppose.
This channel is a good resource for learning Korean, but it has long since abandoned any semblance of _Conversational_ Korean. To make this clearer, here's an example of 'Conversational English': Hi, John, where are you going? I'm going to the store. What will you buy at the store? I will buy some noodles, eggs, and oranges. Now, that's a rather elementary conversation, but it constitutes the basic format for a pedagogy predicated on the needs of someone who would want to have a conversation, in the long run, with an English-speaker.
산 = mountain
화산 = volcano
Literally, 화 = anger/angry, and 산 = mountain
So, 화산 = angry mountain🤣🤣🤣

화상 - burn
소화기 - Fire extinguisher

These videos are really good for learning because they are short and it tells us the information we need to know. Keep making these good videos!

저는 쓸쓸한 곳보다는 활기찬 곳이 더 좋아요. 🙂
A lot of these words are similar to Chinese
오~~~ 이거 좋아요. 깔끔하고, 눈에도 귀에도 쏘옥쏘옥 들어와요. 이젠 거의 성우시군요. 목소리가 한국어 티칭채널에선 참으로 중요하네요. 오늘도 많이 배우고 갑니다. 감사합니다 !!!
좋게 봐주셔서 감사합니다!
Conversational Korean 저흰 편집재주가 없어 너무 부러울따름입니다. 혹시 이런건 어느 프로그램으로 하나요?
Thank🤗
