Maybe you guys right. But in terms of transition between move to move(from footwork to freeze or vice versa), Hong 10 showed more diverse moves. Legasam did 3 highlights in that set, but I may agree if he did more footwork during moves. In bboy battle, footwork usually consumes lots of energy and it makes harder if they achieve with freeze. All judges know that. Having just highlight moves doesn't bring plus point in my point of view.

There's a lot of judge calls that confuse me where I wish I had a bit more insight into the details as I don't break but I've been watching for 5 years consistently. I know about as much as a novice would but finer details in these high level battles will confuse the calls for me. The final battle with Phil wizard was like that for me. I felt like Phil won but I'm always certain there's some details I'm missing.

You mean by just watching VS having experience face to face and jamming with crews are totally different experience.. i always follow up battles every year and keep learning myself to improve, but i always have my weaknesses that i think someone should help or point it out where am i wrong.. like, if you have community besides you it would be easier to learn faster because everyone willing to teach you in correct a way.. meanwhile, LEGO SAM took this on different level since breaking in Malaysia is not really that shine like most country. his self learned really pays off after years and years.

My brother the RedBull BC one is business. This is not a competition rewarding the best. This year in the majority of big competitions we had Amir, Victor and Shigekix in the final four each time. It is therefore abnormal to see none of them being invited to BC One, which is supposed to be the biggest competition. In addition this year we also had lightening and Alkolil which have crazy levels. It makes me think of BC One 2016 in which Thesis was not invited even though he had beaten Issei twice that year, including a big humiliation. Correct BC Ones are very rare. This year they wanted to give it to Hong 10 as it happened in the past for Menno. Besides it is certain that they will give one to Phil wizard in the future it is too predictable, they will give him a bit like they did with Ronnie. The story repeats itself.
But the judges don't convene ahead of their individual votes. It's not like they're all saying it wasn't close, they're just each in agreement that Hong won.
My initial feeling was that legosam took the first 2 rounds. Other commenters of this video I see have agreed with that. What's the point of 3 rounds if the last one is all or nothing?@@meltednostrilsbornwithoutn781

Round 1: Lego - 9 Hong10 - 7.5 Round 2: Lego - 8 Hong10 - 7.5 Round 3: Lego - 6 Hong10 - 9 Decision: Hong10 wins Is that how I feel? No, I can see Lego Sam taking this, that's just the logic that can be at play when judging. And I doubt anyone commenting is a professional judge with years of experience battling and making decisions. Not to mention watching a video and being there live to judge are entirely different.

I also have the leverage of having started in the late 90s giving me a more complete view of the dance than most current generations. I will however say your assessments are fair. I was just surprised at the unanimous vote as most seem to agree in the comments it was at least very close.

This battle was so tough. LEGO Sam really did his thing out there and had amazing moves. I think though sometimes the judges want to give the b boy who works harder the multiple titles. But I may be bugging. I wish people would break down the exchanges and show everything that led to the victory.
For example, this battle and the battle with Phil wizard. I felt like Phil wizard actually won that especially considering hong was doing a lot of the same freezes throughout most of the competition not Just that battle he pretty much did the same freeze over and over and over again. But the level that hung 10 was at in this competition and his dedication to the craft at 39 I think swayed the judge's decision. Every b boy came with great and complex moves but I think the only person that you could tell was really digging into the bottom of his bag was Hong 10.

They are trying to give it to new faces and trying to let boys who represent the culture and essence to come. Check out Allef and Jeffro doing real bboy stuff, especially Jeffro. These two treat breaking like the old days, we need representation of them on big stages. In terms of Victor, I’m pretty sure he said he did not want to compete this year. I’m pretty sure Amir would be invited next year. They just try not to have one same person 3 times in a row. They did it with Phil not only because he’s sponsored, but also he is no.1 on that wdsf ranking chart….
Actually Lego won this battle! 💥 But overall Hong10 did a good job and I'm happy he became the champion. However, it is obvious that they all helped to build a movie ending to the Korean bboy's career.
Legosam only won the First round, 2nd and 3rd is Hong. Lego sam show fatigue on the third round, he crushes the last freeze 4:38 and just adding stuff to fill his third round. On legosam's 2nd Round he didn't hit his signature 2:51. And also on his third round the lack of details and connection between his moves are visible, meaning that he only adds up moves to prolong his round . While hong 10 remains consistent all rounds plus his originality becomes an edge.
What about the last round where legosam slipped? That slip aside, Legosam might have executed his rounds better, but hong10’s round were packed with lots of moves, his originality was through the roof and he also battled the whole time, making sure he replies to Legosam, so Hong took it

The RedBull BC one is business. This is not a competition rewarding the best. This year in the majority of big competitions we had Amir, Victor and Shigekix in the final four each time. We also had a monstrous alkolil but RedBull doesn't like Russians and probably Palestine who knows. We also had lightening which was very good. It is therefore abnormal to see none of them being invited to BC One, supposed to be the biggest competition. Correct BC Ones are very rare. This year they wanted to give it to Hong 10. Besides it is certain that they will give one to Phil wizard in the future it's too predictable, they will give him a bit like they did with Ronnie. The story repeats itself.
Yeah there's a lot of battles where I'm like. There's no way the other person didn't win and then there's even battles where the person themselves know they shouldn't have won.
671 should be a Red Bull BC One champion but they keep give it to ami again.

They are trying to give it to new faces and trying to let boys who represent the culture and essence to come. Check out Allef and Jeffro doing real bboy stuff, especially Jeffro. These two treat breaking like the old days, we need representation of them on big stages. In terms of Victor, I’m pretty sure he said he did not want to compete this year. I’m pretty sure Amir would be invited next year. They just try not to have one same person 3 times in a row. They did it with Phil not only because he’s sponsored, but also he is no.1 on that wdsf ranking chart….
Actually Lego won this battle! 💥 But overall Hong10 did a good job and I'm happy he became the champion. However, it is obvious that they all helped to build a movie ending to the Korean bboy's career.
Legosam only won the First round, 2nd and 3rd is Hong. Lego sam show fatigue on the third round, he crushes the last freeze 4:38 and just adding stuff to fill his third round. On legosam's 2nd Round he didn't hit his signature 2:51. And also on his third round the lack of details and connection between his moves are visible, meaning that he only adds up moves to prolong his round . While hong 10 remains consistent all rounds plus his originality becomes an edge.

What about the last round where legosam slipped? That slip aside, Legosam might have executed his rounds better, but hong10’s round were packed with lots of moves, his originality was through the roof and he also battled the whole time, making sure he replies to Legosam, so Hong took it
