Great video. I'll probably be using this method and also removing the door handle afterwards to get the inlay on properly. The reason is that when you remove the door handle, it's still stuck by a wire. To remove the wire you have to remove the whole door panel inside and mess around with a clip that's difficult to locate. I rather just do this.
It not that hard to remove most door panels but yeah I feel you so far a srt Jeep Grand Cherokee has been the hardest handle for me to remove I also had to remove the Glass in front doors!
happened to me with my driver side door, also did it with my other ones but the drivers side was the most difficult to reassemble so gonna give this a try with one of my doors that I'm going to redo this weekend
Love it, I do it the same way except I put the bottom down first and overlap the top so that if water goes down it, it goes right off! Great video though!
thanks for the vid dude! what do you think about a piece of wrap behind the handle applied and then above it comes the whole door wrap so you cover that spot behind the handle?
Yup you’ll do exactly that mask everything off and wrap the door handle Justin pate has a really good example on how to do it check out The WRAP Institute
Yes. I agree that it saves time. But it kinda reminds me of the time when I was very young and had sex with the neighbor girl without protection. It wound up being an abortion.
@@iamstiffthebear yea when you don’t have the knowledge as far as taking door handles apart you wrap around them and it’ll be a small inlay in the inside of the door which no 1 looks under there to see 🤝
@@kjwrapz not just knowledge. I have a 2018 Mercedes sl63 and you can't remove the handle. The inside door handle is literally welded with a plate and rivots. Su unless you wanna bust the welding you have to finess around the handle.
@@iamstiffthebear damn seriously 😳 now that’s crazy I don’t understand why they would do something like that 🤯 well that’s good to know so when I get 1 of those to wrap I know I can’t remove the handles
The heat gun turning off when you need it is relatable asf my shit does that too 🤣
Zack W. Varela 😂😂😂 hate that
Bout to wrap my car for da first time...thanks for the vid
How’d it go
About to wrap my car and I needed to see this! Thank you (:
Let’s go and your welcome

Yea those are the worse I hated removing things off pples cars! That’s why I had to hire a mechanic the best investment in the world lol

@@bsmntcustoms yup that’s why I hired a mechanic he ran into that same problem removing the front windows 😅

Thank you for explaining that so well, you definitely simplified it for me. God Bless👍🏻
Oh course your welcome 🙏🏾

Appreciate that 🤝🏾 I no longer use this technique I just remove the door handles now 😂
@@kjwrapz I do that as well but I’ve had some that are riveted in.
thanks for the vid dude! what do you think about a piece of wrap behind the handle applied and then above it comes the whole door wrap so you cover that spot behind the handle?
No problem and you can definitely do that as well
Can you make a video on how to wrap around a mirror without removal. Great video bro 💪🏼
Oh yea I can definitely do that
thanks for the guide bro, not sure why you have 22 dislikes but, this worked for me 👍🏽
I appreciate that and me either 😅
Did you wrap the cup first as a separate piece or did you feed the material and have a seam somewhere inside the cup??
I did a overlay after
Great technique and hilarious accents at the end.
lol thank you
What if you have to wrap the door handle also should you mask it off, do what you did, and then get another piece and wrap the handle itself?
Yup you’ll do exactly that mask everything off and wrap the door handle Justin pate has a really good example on how to do it check out The WRAP Institute
Looks good ! What about the part behind the handle ? Do you cover it with a separate small piece ?
Thank you and yes I put a inlay back there
Thanks for this fam, I have to wrap a Jetta in a couple weeks but dont wanna disassemble too much ✊
No problem at all 💯
You make it look easy 👍🏻
Appreciate that years of practice
Why would you want the other color showing every time someone opens your door just take the extra time to do the job right.
Inlay goes where u see color 🤙🏾
Thank you so much dude this is a great method, as I think I would forget how to reassemble my handle 😂 thanks man
No problem 💯
You got skills bro
Thank you 🙏🏾
Did you use a straight inlay? Or did you make the inlay in the shape of the circle behind the doorhandle?
Yes
Great teaching bro!
Thank you 🙏🏾
That accent after done tho 😂
😂😂😂
ta much, good job, still dont think i could do it though.
Amazing thank you
didn't know Will Smit wraps cars
😂 if only I still had my high top back in 2013-2014
Will Smith also knows how to slap the shit outta people on live tv
@@MajinLugia 😂😂😂
Lol yea but there is a small piece behind the door handle which is not wrapped????
You’ll have to put a inlay there
Yeah, but the back side of the door handle will now look like shit.
Over lay/in lay,
I would do a piece in the back first then the whole piece
Needed this! Awesome job 🤟
How do you cover up the part behind the door handle?
Over lay / inlay
Hello it must have show some red behind the door handle right???
Inlay behind it
Ya didn't wrap the handle. Kinda feels clickbaity. Bummer.
@@WAsmellycat did you read the actual title ?! And not the thumbnail ?

Easy way
But not the cleanest way
Not hating
just take the door handles off ...
clearly you didn't read the title of the video ...
taking the doors handles off a dodge durango SRT… is extremely difficult. this video is very helpful.
@SexySicily45 glad you enjoyed the video and trust me I know I own 1 and
I’ve wrapped it 5 times in two years 😂
You can definitely see a big ass piece missing when you open the door!
There’s a inlay in the area your Referring to the video was just for those who wanted to know the process of vinyl wrapping around a door handle
Lol you cut a piece and cove the inside genius. He didn't show that part.
