So I recently fell down the Ramin youtube rabbit hole and saw an interview from 2012 in which he said that he won't sing Til I hear you sing anymore because it's too hard emotionally. But obviously he kept singing it. Can't say that I'm mad.
As a resident of Ontario and only a few hundred kilometres from Peterborough I am embarrassed to say that I have only recently discovered Ramin. What a natural talent!
"Til I Hear You Sing" ?! Has Ramin gotten over his emotional hurdles to sing this song again? This rendition is powerful and touching, sung with a more mature voice and perhaps a more peaceful emotional state. Ramin's gift is soul-electrifying, as always. Thank you for sharing!
@@gracewagnon1529 In one of his earlier interviews (shortly after playing the Phantom I believe), he said he could not sing this song for emotional health.
He’s been singing it for a while, I’m pretty sure there are videos dating back to 2014 of him singing it. I’m not sure how long he stopped singing it for, but I don’t think it was very long.
He’s from north of Toronto. He was supposed to play Bobby in a local production of Company with Louise Pitre as Joanne. But then he got cast in Les Mis and those plans fell by the wayside. I loved him as Jean Valjean, which he played in Toronto prior to going to Broadway. But I always wondered what would have been with that production of Company. In some ways I would have preferred to see him in Company if I were forced to choose just one... The production of Company did eventually go on and added Nia Vardalos (My Big Fat Greek Wedding) to the cast. www.thestar.com/entertainment/stage/2014/06/25/gary_griffin_expects_great_things_from_torontos_company.html
I've learned to slam on the brake Before I even turn the key Before I make the mistake Before I lead with the worst of me Give them no reason to stare No slippin' up if you slip away So I got nothing to share No, I got nothing to say Step out, step out of the sun If you keep getting burned Step out, step out of the sun Because you've learned, because you've learned On the outside, always looking in Will I ever be more than I've always been? 'Cause I'm tap, tap, tapping on the glass I'm waving through a window I try to speak, but nobody can hear So I wait around for an answer to appear While I'm watch, watch, watching people pass I'm waving through a window, oh Can anybody see, is anybody waving back at me? We start with stars in our eyes We start believing that we belong But every sun doesn't rise And no one tells you where you went wrong Step out, step out of the sun If you keep getting burned Step out, step out of the sun Because you've learned, because you've learned On the outside, always looking in Will I ever be more than I've always been? 'Cause I'm tap, tap, tapping on the glass Waving through a window I try to speak, but nobody can hear So I wait around for an answer to appear While I'm watch, watch, watching people pass Waving through a window, oh Can anybody see, is anybody waving? When you're falling in a forest and there's nobody around Do you ever really crash, or even make a sound? When you're falling in a forest and there's nobody around Do you ever really crash, or even make a sound? When you're falling in a forest and there's nobody around Do you ever really crash, or even make a sound? When you're falling in a forest and there's nobody around Do you ever really crash, or even make a sound? Did I even make a sound? Did I even make a sound? It's like I never made a sound Will I ever make a sound? On the outside, always looking in Will I ever be more than I've always been? 'Cause I'm tap, tap, tapping on the glass Waving through a window, oh I try to speak, but nobody can hear So I wait around for an answer to appear While I'm watch, watch, watching people pass Waving through a window, oh Can anybody see, is anybody waving back at me? (Ooh) Is anybody waving? Waving, waving, whoa-oh, whoa-oh-oh-oh
