WOW! I LOVE this so much!
I have the same mica powders. I've been making my own colors for almost 10 years. But, a little mica goes a LONG way. You may not even need as much as you are using. The color and payoff would still be the same even if using a bit less. And I've learned with mica I don't even have to add white to make it opaque.
❤ thank you for the display. Gorgeous colors and great video. God bless you!
I do prefer using an acrylic devoted blender to mix the shades vs shaking them.
Love it... I've made 72 with pigment and mica powders and glitters... Also glow powders....
Oh im so excited for this video!! Love acrylic mixes and glitter mixes too. I can watch those all day haha
The colors turned out good. I like watching custom acrylics. The mica powder method is easier then the chalk. Im glad I got to watch. Good job. Can’t wait to see you use the all.
From what I just watched, looks like you should be starting your own acrylic business. Just a thought that I hope comes into fruition. Well done 🙌🏽👏🏾👏🏾
My favorite has to be either that teal (19) or that bright spatkly grass green💚💚💚
I make a lot of my own dip powders! The only thing I do is put my model ones acrylic powder in my ninja and make it a bit “finer” for my dip powders. Mica powders are “shimmery” where as chalk seems more “matte”, if that makes sense? Vinyl glitters don’t “run” and many companies sell them. I love these colors!🥰
These are so pretty n it's super fun mixing custom acrylics 😊 I can spend hrs making em lol 💙💗💖
Purple and teal
Thanks for your upload. Try using mortar and pestle to blend the colors together with the acrylic powder, by so, there won't be any streaks of colour on the acrylic..❤❤❤❤❤
These mica powders have a beautiful shimmer like too them!! OMG I'm going to order some!!
Can you imagine those mica powders in a gel base? 😍😍😍
# 15 and #19 is my most favorite color!!!
i've been wanting to do this for so long. i cant wait for when i have so free time to do it. yours look really pretty.
i can’t wait to see the beautiful acrylics you create! thank you for watching key! 🥰🥰
Such a fun video. I definitely want to start making my own custom acrylics as well. About to check out part one. Tfs! 😊
Love the Micha powder ones I was naming them as you go love love the colors the chalk ones are as vibrant but they are cute you should probably get a small blender to grind them up
The early crew. 😁🦄🔥 The first dark blue is like a denim color. Love it. You are quite the inspiration and educator for this Old Lady🤣 you are my daughter's age. 💜 Keep doing what you are doing and pursue your dreams. 1 and 16 look like denim colors. 👖
Yay more custom acrylic mixes!
Aloha Brandi, creativity can be a bit messy, but it's so much fun! Thanks for sharing 💚
Pigments and glitters are amazingly fun! Use an older drill when using the chalk because it can kill a drill (I speak from experience on that one...UGH!). Try a mortar and pestle to grind down your chalk acrylics. It may pound out some of the chunks.
❤️❤️❤️ I definitely love the acrylic mixes!!
16 and 19 r my favorites
Absolutely beautiful colors I always love a custom acrylic creations. Thanks for sharing this video 💅🏾💕
Not really into acrylic so I wouldn’t make my own but this was oddly satisfying to watch you create and swatch your own acrylics. ❤️
Michaels and Glitter Makes It ....has beautiful glitters
Isabel mae uses ikea napkins over her dust collector to save or extend the life of her dust collector filter. She tosses them after.... I use the method now too. It's a God send! They are 2ply and u separated them and cut them and use one part . The suction of the dust collector holds it in place for projects like this! U don't have ruin a filter with colors cuz they can be expensive after a while or use them all the time to extend the life of ur filter! Check out her page on how she uses it!
Thank you so much for letting me know about this!!!
I do that myself with a paper towel to catch the dust so it doesn't clog my filters
That array of acrylics looks so esthetically pleasing
I agree! I love seeing the colored swatches sticks 😍😍
Also, when using chalks use your sanding band. It makes the chank finer and mixes it better. And I got a 100 different color mica pack from Amazon for cheap. I don't remember exactly what brand or how much but it has lots of colors to mix with
love your videos! u my fave ♥ diy things like this video is a must and we LOVE to see them!
They’re all really is so beautiful so glad you tried the Mica powders I like to do them with some iridescent glitter like fine iridescent glitter. If they’re feeling a little chalky and not as buttery add a little bit more clear to them and that should make them absolutely perfect it’s so hard to pick a color they’re all so beautiful
All these colors are so well pigmented! Very beautiful 😍 ❤ 💖 I'd like a set with a full yellow set 💛
You can also add sequins in the acrylics too I love shopping on Amazon too. Love all of them 🎉✨💅💖😱
That bright green is my absolute favourite but the golds and silver are also gorgeous. Great job hun 🇦🇺❤️
Use a small strainer when grinding chalk because you will not mess up your drill. Plus it’s less of a mess. And use a motar and pestle will mix the chalk up better and make it fine.
My favorite is #15! The mica powders definitely look way easier to use! Can’t wait to see what you do next ❤️
i bought acrylics from YN sale Sunday then went to amazon and got some mica powders and glow in the dark. i will be doing the same thing!!
Love this so much! I can’t wait to start making my own acrylics…I’d love to see the glow in the dark ones
I' love those mica powders you used. Definitely less dust and so gorgeous with the little sparkle in them 😍😍 my favorite was #23 😍😍
Have you tried making colors with eyeshadows? its really therapeutic making your own acrylics and much cheaper.
Instead of grinding the chalk in the acrylic first try doing it separately and then mix it in so you know that there won’t be any chalk chunks in the acrylic
What size & name was the 60 pack of containers you pack you bought please? As I’d like to order some as I’ve some powders I’d like to mix up. Great tutorial.❤
Hi Brandi! They all beautiful colors but my favorite is 1 and 3
You should use a marble pestle mortar to grind & mix it will work easier and far better than your drill it will mix and breakdown really into a fine perfect powder 💜
Great video love!! I loved the mica powder ones because of the shimmer 😍😍😍😍
I use cosmetic grade glitter in mine. The chameleon mica powder doesn't work when mixed with acrylic. I've tried it. But the cosmetic grade glitter doesn't change color or fade when the monomer hits it.
I liked this video, but I wish you actually made custom colors. It seemed more like swatching the mica powders. I would love to see you create your own custom colors mixing different mica pigments.
I LOVE the "white" mica's in this set, I have the same one. They each have a different color shift, but when you mix it with acrylic it makes them a shimmery nude, with different shifts. I was surprised when they came out a nude color.
That is a great idea!!
You got me on Amazon now ordering lol. I'm gonna make some custom acrylics and glitter acrylics. Thanks for sharing ❤️
Yesss I’m so excited for this! I loved the last one💖
Yay! Thank you so much for watching 🥰
You could try mixing them with Hard gel or polygel. Love these colours you made, really beautiful. 🙏🏴❤️
That sounds like a very good idea!
Hey Brandi!! Excited for this video. I loved the last one
Heyyyy! Thank you so much for watching!
I also got some glow pigments
Hey girl, you got me thinking about making me some custom powders!!
Let's see yoir creative side today!!
Heyyy! Totally do it! 🥰🥰
Amazing colors tyfs
You should add a spoonful of white to the clear and micha powder to get it more power
Anything purple is a winner for me 💜💜💜 i was laughing at you not being able to touch the chalk, but then again, i cant touch velvet 🙃🙃 Cant wait to see what sets you do xx
Wauw.. so beautiful 😍!! And to pick just one color is soo hard.. 😅 also so sweet your boyfriend came to help you and so you enjoyed it together ❤ 💖 Next video, Mica Powder and Glitters together 😋🤩🥰 Greetings Kim
Naming would be fun!
They all are very Beautiful 😍
I know this is like my 3rd comment on this one video, 😂 here is a tip when using chalk. First I use pastels instead of like school chalk. I have would use a drill first, then either a mortar and pestal, or when I am feeling lazy I just put the chalk I've crushed with just a tiny bit of acrylic and put it inside a tiny zip bag, like the ones that different size nail tips come in or different nail art. Anyway, then I just rub it between my fingers for a little, then pour it in the jar with the full amount of acrylic you wanna use, shake it, and there are no chunks. I mean you can add the chalk to the full amount of acrylic u plan to make for that mix and rub it into the bag that way. But I find it's just easier to put a tiny bit in and then rub it between ur fingers so the bag is still flat and not bloated with product. I am so bad at explaining, so if you would are having a hard time understanding what I'm explaining, I can send you a picture on IG or something. Trust me it makes it so much easier and makes the chalk so much more approachable. Because sometimes a solid acrylic is preferred over shimmers.
Color 25 is my fave and 15♥️💜
New subbie! I will definitely check out part one. I enjoyed this video!
Thanks for subbing!
Add fine glitter
Them are some pretty colors💜
Loved all the colors but my favorite one was the teal 😍 I will be trying this thank you Brandi 😊 can you use this acrylic as a dip powder
I am not sure if it would be fine enough to be used as dip powders!
I have seen that monomer will remove color from cosmetic glitter.
Do you have to use a mixture of clear & white as your base? What happens if you only use one or the other?
13 Is my favorite 😍
I'm so happy u made another video on custom acrylics 🙌🏼💅🏼💗🦋love love the blue I've done this couple times it's so fun these turned out beautiful 😍
💅15...💕
I’m confused. You have 120 comments but I still see only the like that I put up! What’s happening? This video was fantastic and now a year old at least. I really wish people would remember to hit the like button as well as having a say in the comments. You’re wonderful 🇦🇺❤️
Wow very impressive ❤️👏👏
What ratio did you use? How much white/clear acrylic to mica powder?
Hey it’s amazing job you did💗💗💗💗
Thank you! ❤️
Ik you said you decided not to make them because it’s too time consuming however would you consider doing a separate video of you just naming the ones you already made?
This is probably a stupid question but can you wash the acrylic out of the brushes or do you have to throw them away after each use?
You can clean the brush with your monomer
Yey part 2 😁
Gret video. Can somebody help me with why I'm not able to click the links in youtube descriptions? Niether am I able to copy them..
Brandi, you should of done a nail set using these acrylics!!!!!!!!
Don’t worry I will be using these acrylics! ❤️
@@NailedByBrandi awesome! Can't wait to see 😊❤
How much white and clear powder did you use?
I didn’t really have a ratio!
@@NailedByBrandi oh ok well thank you for the response!
does anyone know what can you use instead of mica? mica usually isn’t ethically sourced. the miners for mica r usually underpaid and have to be in deadly danger constantly.
What is the the white acrylic and clear acrylic ratio
I really didn’t have a ratio!
Excited for this one lol
Yay! ❤️
I wonder if the mica can be added to a dip base?
Not sure but worth a try!
U use so much mica powder haha im not being critical i guess i am just frugal or something 😂 they are so gorgeous tho omg i love the micas u bought. That first pink is so beautiful
I wanted to make sure all of the colors were very pigmented!
@@NailedByBrandi they came out so gorgeous!
What is the dry time for these?
Hey hey hey Brandi hey guys
Heyyyyy!! Happy Friday Friend 💗
Where did u get the yellow spoon?
I believe it came with the mica powders!
What’s ratio to mixing the white, clear, and color powder?
I did not use a ratio I was just eyeballing
@@NailedByBrandi ok, thanks hun
Just have to be careful not to add too much pigment or glitter..it can compromise the strength of the powder...
What size brush do you use
#10
What do you do with these?
Use them as acrylic powder
You should name the one he suggested "boyfriend" 😊 and "my love"
I like this idea!
@@NailedByBrandi yes honey
Love watching ppl make custom acrylics but your using way to much mica compared to how much acrylic you have...a tiny bit of mica goes a long way
This was my first time ever using mica powder so I wasn’t sure how much to use and I liked how they all turned out! ❤️
Hi beautiful
Heyyy!
Why do you pick up your beads like that😱 please watch some professionals and learn how to pick up beads properly. Your poor brushes. You probably go through them so fast or have to soak them in acetone after every application. Wow that hurt to watch 😬
Then don’t watch 😊
