But, a lot of places now use chloramines which are more stable in water and won't gas off in a day. That said, some plant people say they have success with using aquarium dechlorinator to treat water for plants like Calathea.

Im trying to use what I have for moss poles. So, I'm using a plastic gutter guard. Then it is tied to bamboo, which I harvest from my garden. The bamboo is huge, so I use the slim end. 🎉🎉🎉

Going to eventually start all new plants on them so they attach themselves and grow up them properly, but I was just wondering what you think about adding some chunky bark to the middle of the moss poles? Hoping to cut back on so much moss and remembered seeing someone say that the roots grow stronger and bigger with chunkyness ( not sure that's even a word!)

Hello Sydney. Question..... What is it that helps you make the decision of going with the moss pole with the polyethylene backing or the "circular" moss pole without the backing?
Had to chop my monstera total root rot… was not on moss pole just a coir covered support. I pointed the air roots back into the pot. It’s now been 3.5 weeks and I don’t know if the top cuts will survive. I’d be much less concerned if it had been rooted into moss. 3 years+ of growth. Leaves bigger than my head, not just splits but holes. 😢
My wire must be way thicker than the stuff insee many use. The roll i bought ks fairly heavy. And it doesnt bend easily. Maybe i should be using the thinner, lighter weight stuff. The weight of the wore mesh along with the weight of the moss makes the pooes wuite heavy.
At the approximately 42 second mark you tried to put on a semi authoritarian tone while calling Brad. I hate to bearer of bad news but Bradley has you not only wrapped around your finger but your entire being, as he should. Love seeing the unconditional love that shows through the camera 😻. He has his own cushion, now he just needs a crown

I think both have the p65 warning that they're known to cause cancer in california. Wouldn't hurt to wear gloves, just not vinyl gloves that give off cancer causing phthalates.

Yeah I always say Moss Poles are also an ‘insurance policy’
