  • News has broken that #BTS member #Suga has been booked by the police on charges of driving under the influence, causing a significant controversy.
The incident began when Suga, inebriated, was caught by the police after falling while riding an electric scooter.
The Yongsan Police Station in Seoul has announced that Suga is under investigation for violating the Road Traffic Act (DUI).
The full story is as follows: On the night of the 6th, while serving as a social service agent (a form of alternative military service), Suga drank alcohol and then rode an electric scooter, during which he fell.
When the police arrived at the scene, Suga was found to be heavily intoxicated, with a blood alcohol concentration exceeding 0.08%, the level at which a license is revoked.
The police booked Suga on charges of violating the Road Traffic Act and proceeded with the investigation.
As the incident came to light, Suga posted an apology on the fan community platform Weverse.
He expressed, "I am deeply sorry for disappointing everyone", and acknowledged, "It is entirely my fault with no excuses".
He also admitted his ignorance, stating, "I didn’t know I shouldn’t ride an electric scooter while drunk", and vowed to act more cautiously in the future.
Suga’s agency, BigHit Music, also issued an official apology.
They stated, "Suga’s act of driving an electric scooter after drinking was inappropriate", and apologized for causing public concern.
They further noted that Suga would face fines and have his license revoked.
This incident has also shocked the fans.
Some criticized Suga's actions and expressed disappointment, while others showed their support, using the hashtag "ThankYouMinYoongi" to send messages of encouragement.
However, public reaction has been largely cold.
Many criticized Suga's behavior as irresponsible and felt that his apology lacked sincerity.
Meanwhile, the Military Manpower Administration has stated that there will be no separate disciplinary action for Suga's DUI incident.
A representative explained, "Suga's DUI occurred outside of his working hours, so there will be no extension of his service period as a social service agent."
This incident has not only affected Suga personally but has also impacted the overall image of BTS.
BTS had been recognized for their exemplary military service, but this incident has tarnished that image.
Suga is expected to act more prudently moving forward and strive to regain the trust of fans and the public.

I think you are misleading everyone with your personal bias. You are clearly not an ARMY. We, true ARMYs, support Min Yoongi and have no doubts whatsoever about his sincerity. He made a serious mistake, owned up to it immediately, took responsibility for his actions and SINCERELY apologised to everyone. And he promised to do better in the future. And he is ready to accept whatever penalty/sanction that is imposed on him by the police. We all have made mistakes in our lives...so we understand and stand by our beloved Suga. But I guess, haters will always find any excuse to promote hate. Get a life! Peace!
