    I’ve been using Mo Bacter for a few years, initially trialled it because I can’t be bothered to rake out dead moss. I’ve found it to work really well, even with my primitive method of spreading by hand. I usually have to go over a few stubborn moss areas a second time around 6 weeks after the first application, but that could be due to my extremely unscientific spreading method.
    It is expensive, but will be interesting to see your results and comparison costs, given that you don’t need to fertilise (or spend time raking out)

      Hi mate. Good to know. I’m going to do a new application this spring when it’s not snowing! I completely stuffed that application trying to be clever. I’ll stick to manufacturer guidelines this time. Thanks for posting. Useful info for everyone 👍

    I used Mo Bacteria for 2 years running lawns were very good, HOWEVER after I stopped using it (cost) my lawns have been terrible !!far far worse than the ever were , I never connected this to using MoBacter !!!!! but reading comments I am convinced that it was the MoBactor that had caused this on going problems…. My advice is don’t use it.

    It is Bacillus subtillus (hay bacteria) feather meal and cocoa shells so folks might be sensitive to it and should wear long sleeves and wash before having tea.

    If you WANT MOSS this is the stuff to use. Its like lawn feed for moss. Will die off for a few weeks then come back thicker than ever

      I still use moss weed & feed but I don't spread it dry, firstly I scarify / rake the lawn, I then put the moss weed & feed into a watering can let it turn the water colour a bit, using two or three watering cans so do a production line so the stuff not diluted sink too the bottom. Then pour it over the lawn topping up the can with a hose pipe them use the other cans doing the same, so it's instant no need too water in. All I need to do is wait two to three weeks then rake it again with the scarifier. I believe you get better coverage this way & little chance of burning the grass & moss weed & feed is way cheaper plus the moss taken out can still be used for compost as long as it's put away in another pile thats not used for at least 12 month's. But I still do this when rain is due just in case. Works for me

    How did the lawn turn out after using this product?

    • @NickBarban
      @NickBarban  Год назад +1

      Hi Padraig. To be honest, I don’t know. I applied it incorrectly. I tried to apply it, the same way I do a normal feed or lawn sand. Problem was, the granules are so much larger than sand or feed so hardly any granules came out, but I didn’t realise till later. Im going to apply again to the same lawn again this spring and record again. I’ll post results after that. Thanks for posting. Nick.
