I love Liseberg! I'm going there this summer and I can't wait to try their newest rides.
There used to be a darkride called Sagoslottet (the Fairytale Castle), which they closed down to expand the Norse mythology section of the park. The animatronics and the ship-like wagons that you sit on has been saved and stored. You can watch a ride-along of it on RUclips.
Another thing that I remember as a kid is that there used to be Mickey Mouse museum. Owned and curated by the actor/artist/director/sing & songwriter Lasse Åberg. This was during the 90's. The museum aka. mouseum moved to a place outside of Stockholm. Lasse Åberg acted as one of the consults for the game Epic Mickey. He got a visit by the game director Warren Spector, who he helped to find inspiration amongst all of his Mickey Mouse/Disney vintage memorabilia.
Omg, I remember that one! I was sad when it was removed, it was a very magical ride.
The virtual queueing in the app is just brilliant, if you're a group of say 3 or 4 people and you all have the app, you can all queue for different (or even the same) ride/rides and make sure it's not the same exact time, and you get to bypass all the tedious physical queues (which can be 30+ or even 60+ minutes sometimes) for the most popular rides, and if you find that you have some time between your virtual bookings you just go ride some of the mid or low tier stuff. :)
Liseberg is awesome=) probably the best theme park i've ever been to as well.
Welcome to sweden!🎉❤
Liseberg is a very scenic park. Located in Göteborg and not outside it (kinda unique in itself AFAIK) makes them very cautious of how they use the land.
The fact that it’s also situated next to a smallish mountain (if you want to translate Liseberg it would be Lise mountain becuz berg = mountain) that they’ve built rides on makes for stunning views of the city during summer. And all those trees/greenery adds so much to the atmosphere. Half the experience with Liseberg is kinda just walking around and take it all in because they have parks/gardens if you wanna chill for a bit. It isn’t only 1000% adrenaline thrilled rides. Ride for a while, and then relax in a very cozy park or just stroll around for souvenirs/have fika in the village-area.
Very beautiful park. And just like you said, when the lights turns on it’s kinda fairytale-like.
We were stunned by how well organised and beautiful the park was. Levels above many other theme parks around the world!
Liseberg is my favourite over all ( if you don’t count Disney and all of them) I live in Sweden but I live closer to tivoli in kopenhagen but we drive every summer to Liseberg. I love it ❤
I still can't fathom that it has been 10 years since Helix first opened.
Love Gothenburg and Liseberg ❤
The Helix was my favourite 😍 great video!
Oh yes, us too!
No Lisebergsbanan? It's the most iconic one there and the creator of it said it's his favourite roller coaster he made. For me, it's almost always the first one I ride. The view is spectacular!
My favourite ride was the balder wooden coaster, was fun visiting with you guys!❤🎉
That was a good one!
Great video. Love from Bålsta Sweden 💙💛
I was on Liseberg with a friend on halloween last year. It was magical. Also been on Liseberg when they do christmas-theme. I mean what a job. In halloween for sure. Thousands of thousands carved pumpkins. Everyone unique and not same faces at all. They got horrorthemes both for grownups and the mild ones for the younger audience. It was truly amazing. Living in Sweden but have been on Liseberg since I was a kid, so I have seen the parks developement through the years.
Well, now I don't go on all the rides though, but they had some really awsome stuff in it's earlier life like Hang-Over, Top-Spin and so on. The one I loved the most was called AeroVarvet. It was a big ship that went around. Then they took that away and I asked them why? I got the answer: "Well, many people didn't like it because it was to scary so we didn't had any profit having it like that way." So they rebuilt it to a gigantic swing that doesn't makes you go upside down. Even if I don't go on rides nowdays, but if that comes back I will ride it until I puke. I rode it 4 times in a row once, and geez, I couldn't walk straight and my head was pumping.
I mean, 3 times I was alone on the ride so yeah, I understand why they took it away.
bro i went here every summer when i was a kid (i live 3h drive away) and this video made me so nostalgic for some rides like flumeride and balder thank you
My favourite rides were the water ones. Too funny😂
Been watching those clips on repeat 🤣
Haven't been to Liseberg in many many years, wasn't even aware of 3 rides on this video. Should maybe visit it this summer. I think 1 ride disappears everytime they build a new one so only a limited time to try them all.
You forgot to visit the ghosthouse "Gasten". Sadly there was supose to be a waterpark finnished but there was a huge fire and it burnt down. They started to build it up again
I was just there with my sister and her son, and her son's friend the other day, it's sort of a summer tradition that we try to visit Liseberg at least once every summer. :) Fantastic day.
Sorry to see you didn't get to the giant swing ride Loke, I'm assuming it wasn't available on the day (or it just didn't make the video). I think Loke is actually up there with Helix as my favorite, but they're obviously two completely different rides so you can't really compare the two.
The flume ride is such a weird ride. It's quite slow, not much is happening.. until the very end with the two drops, especially the last one. Everyone loves it and goes on several times in a row, myself included. It must be the water...
Great video!
Thanks! ☺️
Great vid as always ❤ I'm picking turbo, only ride I left not traumatised by 😅
Definitely in your element on that one 🤣
The tower for Atmosfear used to be an observation deck that would slowly spin up to the top, so you could get a view of the park and the city before it was rebuilt to its current one.
That’s interesting! We would’ve definitely have gone on if it was still that!

Before you entered it, there was a video that played, which was about Gothenburg. It also went to the basement level before going up, where you could see the Land of the Liseberg bunnies.
There used to be a movie simulator turned 3D cinema to the right, which is now the entrance to Helix. Atmosfear replaced the two previous ones, Uppskjutet and Höjdskräcken. (The Lift-off and the Vertigo). They were located, which is now the green park and has the Victorian-styled attractions.
@@DanielThureskog yeah, I have a vague memory of the bunnies when it went down before going up.
Last year for Flumeride. Its being demolished becous of age. I think its from the 70s so getting really old..
Did you miss "Lisebergsbanan", the train that goes high up the mountain next to Atmosfear?
From what I heard they are closing down the logflume after this summer sadly
Gothenburg really is the best town in Sweden (Don't listen to the Stockholmers). It's an old workers town, so the people are friendly and down to earth! That is why Liseberg is so good. People who work there still have their pride in the work they do.
Ikr! I live in Sweden and tomorrow I'm going to Lisa berg with my friends I been on rides and I recommend going ask your parents to go on summer now it's summer so GO ASK THEN😜
I can't believe English ppl are in Sweden and Sweden is one of my fave country pls go there it's so fun
Btw the bunny show in lisaberg is the best for kids/toddlers and yeah I speak Swedish and made lots of friends and I'm 8 and I been in Sweden for 2 years tell me about Sweden if you gon there❤❤❤
Sadly this yeasrs newest atrasction Oceasnia a waterpark burned down just berfore it was supposed to open but they will rebuild it and it will open in a couple of years the cost for the water park was around 1B yes a B as in billion SEK
Really thought Cerys was going to drop that phone!
Thumbs up for risking it though? 🧐🤣
