Apparently some copies have a glitch that won't let you go back, once you finish the bonus level. I'm not sure how true it is, since I haven't had a problem. I read about it somewhere...
My wife and 7 year old daughter have been bonding over this game and they just obtained this trophy through perseverance, and it was glorious to watch. Barring the hint to select Prof Sprout they managed to do it without assistance. They were at the 980,000 mark before that. Was so satisfying to see that trophy pop.
Brian your awesome game walkthrough videos helped me a lot on playing my Nintendo Switch Lego Harry Potter. This is my second time using your videos as I play my favorite game again. I love your commentary it is amusing.
Once you complete the bonus level and have collected ALL your gold bricks .. Go to the leaky cauldron upstairs to the room in the back where you build something bc you have collected ALL gold bricks .. Once it's finished (takes a while to complete) you get a crap load of studs including blues and BAM you get the Knute and vaults achievement .. MAKE SURE YOUR MULTIPLIERS (2,4,6,8,&10) ARE ON !!
When you get all the mushrooms to pop up near the frozen forest area, a new crab like vehicle pops up. When you ride it, a bunch of blue and purple studs appear
Yes! Finally I have 100% on years 5-7! Also, for those that have gotten all 200 gold bricks, go up in the leaky cauldron past the red brick purchasing area and leviosa the bricks together, and it rains studs, and doesn't stop! Thanks again for all of your videos! First time I've gotten 100% 😁😁😁

Really helped completing the Bonus Level, had a painful time the first time around and had to restart cause I forgot a Key Character. Also, you don't need all the Gold Bricks like you do in 1-4 to open the Bonus Level in 5-7...all you need is to complete all 24 Story Levels I think, cause I have 159/200 at this point and as you can see, I've done the Bonus Level
Took me 2 tries. First try my kid jammed a vehicle next to the train and the water was stuck lol. Didn't do anything with the pool blocks. Thought I had everything and had to drive vehicles around smashing stuff that you can't otherwise. Also drive vehicles into the bases of buildings. Stud magnet will help I think.
The three smal blocks by the swimming pool think if a Olympic podium 123 bronze silver gold is how you build it up , ive tried to even put the figures on but obviously you can't pick up the purple/pinky ghost thingy
You can blast those owls under the tower. It's too late now, lol, but for future reference to anyone. I still can't figure out the lego order with those 3 bricks either.
If you go back to the building with the spinning roof where 3 owls sit underneath you can zap them and a Knight statue appears you can sit and ride on him
This level sucked. I actually didn't need your guide to beat it but I came here because I was stuck around 992k studs. The soccer ball vanished and I lost hope. I wasted time on the pool too and got no studs. Apparently vehicles can just break stuff that's unbreakable with magic. Tip for anyone struggling before they watch the vid. Thank you so much for all the lego tutorials, they help a ton
Hey!! I have used probably all of your videos and they have been super helpful!! So thank you!! But I did wanna give you some help! On the "Hogwarts castle" you destroy in the bonus round, the cone that you keep w.leviosa at minute 37, as it's in the air, shoot the stuff under it!! It explodes and a knight guy pops up that you can ride and he destroys some stuff too!!
once you shrink the front end of the hogwarts express, jump on, ride it, and follow the train tracks!! at least 2 blues and a purple stud will show on the tracks... this may only be 12,000 studs... but it helps!!
You don’t need to have 199 gold bricks to complete the bonus level (I did it with only 122) to get the bonus level I think you need to have all true wizards from each level

So I'm playing the Switch version and I followed your guide for Free Play and Free Roam but I'm still missing a gold brick, character token and student in peril. I think I already got the gold brick for the bonus level cuz I did it after I beat the game if I recall but I might go back and do it again to be sure. That leaves the token and the student but I'm positive I got everything in Free Roam :/ I think I'll go through years 1-4 to get 100% and then go back to 5-7 later. Gonna use your walkthrough for 1-4 :3
I took help of all the free roam vids but i am still 17 short of bricks i got all story/ freeplay done all charachters and all true wizards any one that can help? Also allt headless ghost are taken (got everything at each ghost)
i got into the lego car and it gave me some coins. i got those and then i went to the one house with the point on it and just drove over something and it gave me the last coins i needed
Thanks for these videos. I got the platinum on both 1-4 and 5-7. Wow this bonus level was a grind but not nearly as much of a nightmare as Lego Batman 2. Now that Lego Indiana Jones has been added to backwards compatibility, does that raise the chances for it to be considered for a future video series? May I suggest doing one of those polls on Facebook to see if other people would like it?
We certainly would love to do a series on it.. and with it being backwards compatible, that surely helps, but we have Lego Worlds (tomorrow), Lego City Undercover (April) both coming out soon to keep us busy. It is possible if we get a break in between though!

It is sort of like FREE ROAM mode and Minecraft had a baby.. some quests, some collectibles, some creative opportunities.. and of course you can build all sorts of stuff in game. Very different, and honestly I am not a huge fan of Minecraft, so I am not sure how I feel about it yet.. my copy will be here either here in a few minutes or early tomorrow morning. So it won't be long till we have some videos on the channel to check it out and sort of explain what we figure out!
Currently watching it while I've been playing my game. I literally had my controller in my hand while watching my iPad and was wondering while my character wasn't doing what I wanted it to do. Then I figured it out, I was trying to control the lego people on the iPad and not my TV. 🙊

I built that up when I had some where's between 106-109, if I remember that correctly

If you use professor sprout it helps spawn a few more flowers and mushroom closer to when you have destroyed almost everything on the map already 😊

I know this was from mnths ago but I remember you couldn't actually do anything with the podiums by the pool. It never gave you any studs.
I couldn't figure out neighter. Killed the swimmers with a killing curse and still nothing. Managed to get 1M in the end tho.

Playing this in 2021 on Xbox one (they did remaster it for that console) this was a nightmare of a bonus level. I struggled like you did lol.

Tip for some studs… where all the mushrooms spawn. Shootall of those an a mushroom spider will appear with blue an purple studs
Also you could do a "flashback Friday" where you play older games and stuff
If you shoot the owls in “Hogwarts” while lifts the roof you get a ton of studs. And and statue guy you can ride to help you destroy things

The loader can destroy the green and red launchers you can trigger. Get serious studs for it too

If you destroy the owls hidden by the green piece of Hogwarts that you couldn’t get rid of, you can get rid of it.

I did the bonus level at less than 50%. I am only at 53% now and I have already completed the bonus level
I only have 134 gold bricks currently and I was able to play and complete this bonus level. Weird...

If you can't get all 1 million then you can ride the mini train and ride it on the track getting blues and purples

there is a special stage that takes 200 gold bricks.
I didn't have 199 Gold Bricks and I got inside the bonus level
