Congratulations, please I’m Alzheimer disease how did you score your confusion did you put 3 or 0 on the chart . Cos people said we should not put 3 is it’s not a new confusion
@rufaibukola1554 Depending on the situation given to you. Read your prompt well and work with it. You don't need to memorize anything. Work with what is provided and what your patient says to you. You 6CIT form will be filled just calculate the score and record. Don't stress your head about new and old confusion. Like Nurse Violet always says, don't memorize anything. Just know what you're expected to do following you marking criteria and you will be fine. If the person is confused, they're confused nothing like old and new.

Hi Nurse V, i just came across this video and i have done the assignment. In step 1 BMI Hailey's weight 51kg /height1.72m =18 which is score 1. Step 2 BMI is around 4% which is less than 5 = score 0. Step 3 Hailey is now stable and healthy = 0. Step 4 = total score for Hailey is 1, which is medium risk. It is medium risk management guidelines that will apply. Thank you so much ma. Please vet my answer.
Its brooks BMI a 17 base on charting which makes the patient BMI less than 18.5 hence patient is score a 2 ? 😢 Even so, the answer based on charting is 18. This remains less than 18.5, in which the patient remains at score 2 in step 1. If u can please explain

I got score of 2 which is hight risk malnutrition, patient Will be reffered to the dietician, local policy Will implementen,inorder to improve and increase the general overall intake,careplan Will be reviewed and monitored weekly since she is in the hospital.

Hello Nurse Violet, I want to ask a question regarding the step 1 - BMI. How do you calculate the BMI if the height is a odd figure eg 1.57, 1.59, 1.61, 1.63. 1.65 etc. These figures are not on the chart.

I think the score is 0 because the weight loss is not upto 3 months. It stated that it's unplanned weight loss in past 3-6 months. Yes dear,its say around 10percent in the last two months,however there is no other option best suitable than the one we went one as we cant choose 0,less than 5%, or 2 which is more than 10%,
