After Wayne Cousins I thought the police were reminded to always identify themselves when interacting with a member of the public, but the obnoxious cop hiding his ID against police policy, still wants the ID of a member of the public not committing any crime☹.
I hope he is putting in a complaint every time he incounters these tyrants. Whether tgey pigs or sia security. Will earn him a fortune in compensation. Plus these tyrants need education

When you take in to account that the same reason we can film in public is all the same as what gave police the ability to use bodycams and cctv.😂

At my place of work, we are not allowed to use lanyards that have anything identifying the company, nor does our ID card have anything that identifies the company. This is not because it is anything sensitive or secret; it is just in case someone mislays or loses their ID card. Anyone finding it will have difficulty using it as they will have no idea which building it gives access to.
thats a good idea!, only a covert police place would have lanyards with what they are on it!

My daughter has worked for the MOD, Customs and Revenue and the Home Office, all her ID/entry cards were completely blank. They contain a chip that has to be scanned to access her place of work.

Back when I was a plod we had regional crime squads covering the whole the country. These later were amalgamated and formed the basis of SOCA with elements drawn from other agencies. SOCA was later rationalised (cost?) to form the NCA and a lot of the dead wood was sent back to their originating force/agency. Many large locations were closed and the NCA's now preferred option is anonymous warehouse/office buildings located in out of town trading estates. NCA also have many small clandestine offices, often in unmanned police stations. Forces however came to realize there was now a gap in regional CID coverage that the RCS used to fill. So the wheel has turned full circle and units such as TITAN and the ROCU that you see featured here have been formed. This facility is so big it probably has a forensics unit and provides some office space for the NCA, special branch and the occasional MI5 visitor.
A form in your bag. When they want details, they have to fill the form out, 2 forms of photographic id. Names addresses, references. Then when they turn over the page, the details will be checked, and if confirmed in full, the information will be supplied.

He is clearly not a Police Officer. He is a civilian staff member. No Police Officer would request somebody else's details whilst simultaneously covering up his/her own ID badge. It's not rocket science, is it?
I think myself that place is where they store evidence.
But by the set up and security its most probably where all the high profile cases are stored.
Like drugs etc.
And most probably testing labs.
There's one of these in Aylesbury on a old RAF base but it's 4 times as big.
And you can't get anywhere near it.
But them mobile vans sometimes pop up in police stations keep your eye out.

That's a mobile monitoring vehicle for RF signal or any other signal related devices.

Police or not they seem to have a very high opinion of themselves. Missing from Google Maps/Apple Maps, missing from internet searches, expensive gates and security system, silent staff, wait zones for vehicles, covert nature. But in fact, anyone with a step-ladder could be over those gates in seconds and there isn't an RFZ in place. So I think they are just trying to increase their own sense of self-importance. That sign should have a strap line "Riding House - we are rarely important".

I used to drive a shunt and to be honest it was a grey area when it came to rear number plates, not technically illegal if it's house to house within a certain distance although it's arguable what's classed as distance. Same grey area with HGV license to drive on public road. The same with plant vehicles too. It's highly likely the police wouldn't even know. Like I said not technically illegal but a very grey area

Was your drone really within line of site as the law requires? If you are auditing and passing judgement on others shouldn’t you be extra careful yourself?
Imagine carrying out surveillance using drone and filming the cars and faces of people entering and leaving an important police building where serious organised crimes are investigated then complaining when confronted by the police.
