    Hey Wes - I appreciate the time answering my question. I will certainly look into those types of products to cover up and wear some ice out there. Fortunately these temps are only for 2-3 months of the year, but I don't want to lose out on running outside while in Vegas. The rest of the year is wonderful. :) Great to also hear that you are feeling better as the weeks progress. Looking forward to hearing about your next big run. Thanks again for the answer and for what you do for the running community. (It has actually inspired me to strap a go-pro on myself and film some scenic desert runs to post to YT -- I'll probably post under my actual name and not my anonymous gaming account, haha)

    “Playful strides”, was that the term you used? A few weeks back? Absolute winner! Very good. Excellent workout. I try to throw a few in every run. The benefit should be obvious to anyone that tries them.

    It seems like things are turning around just in time for your next race. Hopefully no smoke in the next one.

    Hey WES you prepare again cocodona 250 this year?. In France we have UTMB Trail you never interested by do a Trail in Europe?

    • @wplate
      @wplate  Месяц назад +2

      My 2025 plan is to run Arizona Monster in April and then Cocodona in May! Will be a busy two months!
      Running in Europe would be fun, but I don't believe I would ever be able to run a race there.

      Hi Mike! I'll include your question and I'll answer it next week's video, but here's an early look at the answer via a video Jamil took at the Cocodona 250 finish line: instagram.com/reel/C62WOFcxBnL/?igsh=OGNuaDRscjRxeHJy

    I have my first 200 coming up in just a few weeks and I'm also running Cocodona next year.. At some point I'm sure I'll need to top off my watch with a charge, what do people typically do if taking a bigger rest, do they pause/stop their watch losing an accurate total time or just let it continue to run while resting ?

      I always let mine run. The race clock doesn't stop and I would be worried about forgetting to restart it on day 3+ when my mind is going in other directions

      Great question Danny. I screenshotted this and will include it in the next episode. Keep the watch running! I know some runners will only record from aid station to aid station, stopping their watch when they arrive. I don't understand that behavior, maybe they have a good reason. But for me, I want one recording of the entire run, I leave it recording while I rest, as well as while I'm charging the watch.
      There is something important to keep in mind, however, not all USB ports are created equal and some of them could cause your watch to stop recording! That happened to me at Moab in 2019, and I learned a valuable lesson. I'll share my experience in next week's video.
