Hi, what amp ring connectors did you use to connect the three cables together.

Not sure the wires are taking to full load from the alternator to the battery so need to be rated to your full alternator output

What did you do to protect the system from the additional current the alternator is capable of putting out? (generator at 23 +/- and some alternators at 45 -75amps) I read about the dead battery high load situation. Did you add a fuse to the main power line?

Thanks for your vid and conversion info especialy required belt info. I have the same job to do on my 1275 mini and the location and bracket needed are the same as the midget - A series engines after all?

Great video and thank you for giving the correct dimensions for the belt. Which alternator did you end up using and is that just the rear alternator bracket from the late 1275's?

Was a std alternator but will be swapping it for a 40 amp lightweight one shortly. Yes I was using std brackets . Thanks for watching 👍

Hi, good result power wise! what needles did you end up with and what was the cam spec please? interested as just rebuilt my MG Midget with 1275 engine overbored 60 thou, big valve gas flowed head and Piper 255 cam, using red springs and 'm' needles.

The AH2 needles id been advised to fit ended up being ok with mixture not being too lean or rich overall. The cam is a std lift cam to meet the group regs but has a longer duration. Makes it run a bit lumpier at idle but works well higher up the range. Your engine should be good for 120+ . Nice! flying machine
