      I agree, it will bind and kick back.

    These people are not hating on you they are trying to protect you. I got blasted by a kickback doing cross-cuts like you are, luckily my hands were nowhere near the blade but it did hit me right near the jibbleys.
    Use a miter saw for those cuts it’s MUCH safer!

      You could also use a miter gauge or crosscut sled. Those make it safer without having to spend hundreds of dollars on a new tool.

    I like how she had enough sense to wear breathing protection but not enough to use a table saw properly.

    Don't use the fence when making those cross cuts the cut off pieces might get pinched by the wall and the blade then shoot out and hurt you. Just trying to Lookout for anyone thinking of doing this with no experience or little experience.

    should never cross cut against the fence like that with narrow pieces. use a block against the fence to offset, or better yet use the miter gauge.

  • @tannerzeak4014
    @tannerzeak4014 Год назад +3

    Your suppose to cross cut with a miter gauge and riving knife

  • @jamiecady
    @jamiecady Год назад +12

    please support and guide the cut piece, not the outside. it may seem scarier, but it’s much safer practice. get a variety of different push blocks, sticks, etc. to always have the right tool to support the type of cut you’re making. and try to familiarize yourself with making and utilizing different jigs to support the work piece. i’m sorry to say it, but this video could honestly be used as an example of what NOT to do when using a table saw.

    It’s a dewalt table, on the fence, you have another fence that flips in order to make longer cuts. It’s very handy, you should use it.
