National Park of American Samoa

This year we're visiting all 59 National Parks to celebrate the NPS centennial year and share the park love! National Park of American Samoa was #24. It's the only park in the southern hemisphere, it's the farthest in our travels and it's completely unique. Since the park doesn't have camping, we utilized its unique homestay program to stay for a week in Vatia village with a family. The village was surrounded by the park on all sides and we were constantly exploring the park right behind the house with the kids.
