Totally agree😭It was cringe worthy. The age difference is a point that's strained & horribly executed. The dude is SO IMMATURE. Forced "romping" of a 57 yr old on a 37yr old escalates to desperate quickly. Not even a little believable. No build up.0⃣chemistry. They didn't work Kidman did herself an injustice in many ways. The wardrobe was too big. Colors, makeup, hair didn't flatter her shape, face or coloring.. Her expressions were mostly sad, nostalgic, depressing Joey was most believable. The best was her reaction to a dump truck 🚚 pulling in front of her in traffic
lol “I recommend this to no one” I had laughed with you 😭! I’ll be honest I felt sorta the same way it was very hard to get through it for a while i just finished it after 3 different types that i had got distracted or fallen asleep. The movie wasn’t a bad storyline but the plot just was boring. Overall, I did like the ending with Joey’s character maturing and fixing things with her friend and mom/ the mom getting with Zac. However, I don’t think I would watch this movie again. Which is disappointing because the trailer made it seem like it was going to be soo good definitely no chuckles from the com or chills from the rom.
The age gap between Zac and Nicole wasn’t the issue. It was the lack of chemistry with their characters. I also disliked that the mom fell in love and continued to see a guy who made her daughter’s life hell. I felt Brooke and Chris fell in love too quickly and there was no build up. And the part I couldn’t understand was how the movie quickly became a Christmas movie; like what the heck is this. Was I expecting this movie to be serious absolutely not because I love a quirky cringey rom com. But A Family Affair was definitely cringey in a bad way.

I’m glad you felt my pain and frustration!

It was so boring. I had high hopes, but they were quickly dashed. Joey King’s character was annoying. I got tired of listening to her rants.
Glad you had a similar experience and I couldn’t agree more!
This movie was atrocious
Glad you had the same experience lol
