I have both. Sony XM4 has the best ANC on the market right now and they are more comfortable. Audio technica sound much better then the sony with a good natural sound.
The JBL easy. The app allows for a lot more customisation. Something missed in this video and can make them sound a lot better than the Audio Technica. Do a test in a store with the app and see for yourself.

You cannot compare a on ear headphone with an over ear headphone they are two different categories
Unfortunately I heard nothing about latency, a key characteristic of bluetooth headphones.
Audio Technica has better sound quality overall but for call quality i prefer the way the JBl sounds better

is the Audio-technica latency on pc noticable? Did you test low latency mode on app?
I own ath50x bt 2 its not noticable you just lowkey deep in your sixth sense can notice the delay but overall no delay :)
