I used to have an 04 redline. one of the most fun cars i've ever owned. can't beat the supercharger whine with the cai.
Thanks for making this video I’m super close to buying myself one right now, I wanted to black out the tail lights and paint the car black and now I see that it looks real good in that color

I have this car the 07 not redline, fun to drive , easy to handle and comfortable! And have a beautiful look that feels like these Japanese cars that people turns into tuners.

damn that looks so badass, so glad you decided to keep it. i see your only like 2 hours from me and i know saint ignas is quite the drive but this is badass and makes me want another redline since they are forgotten about, i only see them as the underdog. mayb ill find a show this summer and see ya at it. huge thumbs up
Thanks I really appreciate your positive feedback!! I really loved this car. I did end up selling it 5 years ago. But just recently my nephew bought it back. He lives in Illinois so I'll be heading there this summer to shoot some video on it. But maybe when The Lone Ranger is done you will catch me at a show!

Nice! I actually have a 2007 Saturn ion did not like at first, but got a good deal at the time. I started like it more when I tinted the windows the lights in the back look rad, bought some tinted front headlights with the dark blue and of course a full screen stereo system. Still working on it

I owned my 04 11 years it just hit 450,000 only replace wheel bearing and thermostat. Most reliable car I owned.

It is the factory ion redline bumper front and rear. The rear "saturn" has been filled on the bumper. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching!

I’m trying to find seat covers for my ion but can’t find any I also want led headlights and floor mats but also can’t find any, also what size rims do I use for stock wheels
It's really hard to find much for these. Some cobalt stuff will interchange. I'm not sure on the seats but I have seen a few small companies doing custom lights from the factory headlights. I believe my stock rims were 16" which are the chrome rims in the video. Good luck on your build and thanks for watching

No not with those. Just had to cut a bit of the pinch weld at the back of the fender well. But it did have air ride on it.

This is a Ion Redline so the front bumper is factory. If you can find a 2004 to 2007 REDLINE you may be able to swap the bumper but im not 100%.
On the Risk of how old this video is , may I have the total mods you did on this car and horsepower you think it generated? Please I’m getting a redline and would like some pointers.
Sure.. it had an air lift prototype air bag kit, magnaflow stainless cat back exhaust with a vibrant 4 into 1 header, lightweight flywheel with a lsd in the trans and a billet short throw shifter. The cold air intake was on it when i bought it. I can't remember the brand of the torque damper, but it's definitely worth the purchase.. it helps with torque steer. I never did anything to the engine, but a smaller pulley would make more boost, which equals more hp.. im sure mine wasn't much more than the factory hp rating. Probably 215-220 hp if I had to guess. Had a bunch of the interior hydro dipped carbon fiber. Hope that helps! I really loved it, and my nephew now has the car in Illinois. Good luck with yours, and thanks for watching!

Where did you get the air suspension
The kit was custom from the air lift company.the rear are a normal double helix style bag but the front needed to be custom-made because of how the red line suspension is. But I'm sure a company like accuair has a bag that will fit. Thanks for watching the video hopefully that will help you out!
What aftermarket tail lights were those?
The clear one's? Man I really can't remember. Seems like I searched for them forever to find some. And then when I got them I couldn't keep moisture out of them. So I ended up painting the factory taillights. Pretty sure the aftermarket ones were on eBay. But that was in like 2008 I think. Thanks for watching 🙂

This car is awesome, where’d u find the decepticon emblem for the front? I was looking for emblem to replace my stock Saturn one with but I can’t seem to find any.
Thank you. I believe I found it on ebay. It was plastic with a chrome coating. I think it was a 4" on the hood and the small ones I cut into the Saturn logo were 1.5 inch size.

while i would love to sound smart and say i knew all of that i don't. they were at a local tire shop used and we tried them and they actually fit. i know they were a front wheel drive offset 8.5" Forte rim with i think 205/35/20 tires. no spacers. sry i really wish i could help you out more. thank you very much for your positive comments! i really loved it. my nephew owns the car now so stay tuned for new videos!!

Just wanted to know how does it ride with the airbags I have a Saturn ion as well and I'm interested in doing something like that roads are pretty rough where I live
If you've ever had anything lowered that's how it rides.. lol that's probably the best I can describe it. Stiff.. handled really awesome. But wasn't the softest when its came to pot holes or train tracks.. but when you pull up and lay it out.. it's all worth it😎
I personally prefer the oem wheels
did you buy your tail lights that dark or tint them? i’m getting a black redline next week and like how they look
I used the tail light tint spray. I think 2 coats. If I had to do it again I would buy a brand new pair and do it. Thanks for watching!
Yo where did you get the wing?
It's the factory wing that came on the car. I took the center of it off and had a buddy hydrodip it carbon fiber look alike.
What kind of rims do you have?
The 20" rims were Forte. I'm not sure on the type they were. The other one's are the stock rims.🙂 thanks for watching!

Not sure. I sold it a long time ago. My nephew actually bought it last year itfrom the guy I sold it to. Still the same as when I sold it. Except they added a e85 tune and a smaller supercharger pulley. I loved the transformer emblems. I cut the factory Saturn badges and a buddy bought me the small decepticon badges and I stuck them in there.. used to play the movie at car shows and all the kids absolutely loved it🙂 thanks for watching!!
