I feel like Yoko's acting is just fine in this series, judging by people who have read the book describing Anueng I would say her acting is quite accurate to someone experiencing these feels for the first time because not everyone adjusts immediately on their first time especially if they are ashamed of developing a kink so the uncomfortable facial expressions she was making during the love scene makes sense that it would take an couple of times to adjust and has nothing to do with her actually feeling uncomfortable or her acting needing work. I also think Faye and Yoko's chemistry blends together very well.

Due to Khun Nueng's dialog about Anueng going along with her desires, coupled with the movement of Faye's shoulders, I immediately thought that Khun Nueng was the the one rolling Anueng away in order to get easier access to that cute little ear. Not once have I gotten the impression that Anueng rolled herself over. It's just my own mileage, mind, but you might take another look at the scene in that light. For science, of course. Chet's second proposal is hardly a surprise, given that most of the main characters' lives revolve around Anueng. Kun, the actor who plays Chet, does a fantastic job of portraying his character's driving ambition to nail down an heir to please his parents and create political capital as a family man. His status as a political hopeful also sheds a light on his aversion to the idea of his heir as homosexual. Well acted, Kun!

My POV was that Khun Nueng was the one that rolled anueng over after she said 'she should do as she pleased'. The reason why Khung Nueng asked Anueng 's "What's the matter" after biting her jaw and ear i think, was because she saw Anueng reaction to that biting and asked if she liked it. After Anueng asked Khun Nueng to bite her, and she then proceeded to do so we can see Anueng visibly in pain, but as a masochist myself i too respond like during if u know what i mean.

While I agree Yoko is still not a confident kisser and can’t really match Faye’s intensity, she is getting better. The scene for me highlights Aneung’s shame of liking pain and really enjoy being bitten. So turning her shoulder to the side and allow Neung free range to bite and explore her kinks make sense. The L Word was a massive hit worldwide because the characters were flawed especially Bette Porter. I get that you're a total bottom for Faye (which has perhaps clouded you judgment), but I do find this review very one sided and a bit of a shame in regards to Anueng as a character. Lets not forget that Nueng is 37. A lot of the character development is thanks to Anueng. She is 21 and pretty inexperienced in many areas, but is in many scenarios the mature one of the two, and helps Nueng communicate. Just like in the car scene about the article and being scared. Anueng is an interesting character and played beautifully by Yoko.

I think Yoko is great in the role, she really manages to convey all of Anueng's personality, the giggles in the tense scenes are the character's personality, not a mistake in the Actress's acting, Anueng is a cheeky character, shy at certain moments, understanding, empathetic and a little girly at times, the perfect contrast to A khun Neung
Yoko acts the character in the novel perfectly. In the novel the girl is mischievous but very shy. Faye herself said that when she saw Yoko for the first time, she thought she was the perfect Aneung.

I wouldn’t so much call it “defending” more or so clarifying. It could have been portrayed a bit better I suppose but most people watching this scene was able to get what was supposed to be conveyed. I agree with you on this one but well see on next ones how it developes I am still waiting on kisses like when Yoko was on top or in that workshop that it seemed more "invested" somehow. Well see I do have high hopes to another level of kisses but again at this point I do think its a character decision to actually go more "soft" dunno how she can do that tho I would grab Faye's neck and couldn't even stop kiss her😂😂 but that's just me and the kido said she never even kissed another woman b4 so.. maybe it's both opinions maybe it's not.. well find out I hope.

Due to Khun Nueng's dialog about Anueng going along with her desires, coupled with the movement of Faye's shoulders, I immediately thought that Khun Nueng was the the one rolling Anueng away in order to get easier access to that cute little ear. Not once have I gotten the impression that Anueng rolled herself over. It's just my own mileage, mind, but you might take another look at the scene in that light. For science, of course.
Chet's second proposal is hardly a surprise, given that most of the main characters' lives revolve around Anueng. Kun, the actor who plays Chet, does a fantastic job of portraying his character's driving ambition to nail down an heir to please his parents and create political capital as a family man. His status as a political hopeful also sheds a light on his aversion to the idea of his heir as homosexual. Well acted, Kun!

My POV was that Khun Nueng was the one that rolled anueng over after she said 'she should do as she pleased'. The reason why Khung Nueng asked Anueng 's "What's the matter" after biting her jaw and ear i think, was because she saw Anueng reaction to that biting and asked if she liked it. After Anueng asked Khun Nueng to bite her, and she then proceeded to do so we can see Anueng visibly in pain, but as a masochist myself i too respond like during if u know what i mean.
The part you get confused about Anueng rolls over it's actually KN made her to do it. You can see KN's hand moved, but the camera didn't give full screen. KN said, "You should please me," then rolled Anueng over for the bite scene. 😂
I am not sure if you know that the doctor Wan Viva is also the same character in the upcoming show The Affair.

While I agree Yoko is still not a confident kisser and can’t really match Faye’s intensity, she is getting better. The scene for me highlights Aneung’s shame of liking pain and really enjoy being bitten. So turning her shoulder to the side and allow Neung free range to bite and explore her kinks make sense. Let’s face it, any closeup of Faye as a dominant top is much appreciated. I watch this show for Faye.
I’ve noticed a lot of people saying Yoko is not a confident kisser and I disagree. I feel like people want Anueng to be someone she’s not. Anueng is not supposed to be a kissing goddess. Anueng has had sex 4 times and KN is her first everything. Idk about you guys but I wasn’t kissing like a pro after a month in my first relationship. But on the other hand, it's normal for people in a relationship to feel jealousy and to sulk about small things and to demand for things sometimes. That's why we should stop trying to expect perfection from all of the lesbian characters and bisexual characters. There's gotta be a little bit of flaw in there somewhere or else those characters wouldn't be relatable and entertaining because there's no perfect person to begin with regardless of your ethnicity and sexuality. The L Word was a massive hit worldwide because the characters were flawed especially Bette Porter. Same goes to GAP the series, Pretty Little Liars, Legends of Tomorrow, The Fosters, and all those other shows with homosexuality.
So the roll over, totally looking at the scene RESPECTFULLY, it seemed like a position change, thinking the Bound (1996) scene ehem! I get that you're a total bottom for Faye (which has perhaps clouded you judgment), but I do find this review very one sided and a bit of a shame in regards to Anueng as a character.
Lets not forget that Nueng is 37. A lot of the character development is thanks to Anueng. She is 21 and pretty inexperienced in many areas, but is in many scenarios the mature one of the two, and helps Nueng communicate. Just like in the car scene about the article and being scared. Anueng is an interesting character and played beautifully by Yoko.

I remember with my last girlfriend many years ago, she told me "Good thing you are drop dead gorgeous, or else my grandma would have kicked you out of the house already, grandma likes pretty people, and is only OK with me being gay because I am dating you." I felt uncomfortable watching some scenes, esp in season 1. Yoko looks so young! Like 15. This feels like the elephant in the room but maybe it’s just me. I also wanted someone more, even somewhat, interactive in bed. Like me! My fantasy is pretending to try and flip Faye onto her back and she doesn’t let me 😂. Please Faye, do as you please with me! Lastly, Faye, if you’re reading this, please don’t get any more work done! Her cheek fillers make her face look more generic. Still stunning obviously. Don’t get me wrong. I love the show. Faye is incredible. Her eyes are so expressive. But I do have a problem w the pairing. Where Freen/Becky are both strong actresses and equally attractive, Faye single handily owns this series. For this story, the young actress has to be really attractive and have a semblance of sex appeal as she tries to win and seduce KN. Personally I don’t think Yoko is that character. The really small ayes and lips are also off putting. My attention is always on Faye
And it’s not so much about Yoko’s acting but whether she’s right for this role
Whereas I think Yoko is absolutely PERFECT for the role. In my opinion, she is protraying Anueng from the novel perfectly. She has a mix or cuteness, naughtiness, inexperience, determination and absolute dedication to Nueng. I struggle to even imagine another actress do as good a job as Yoko has done.

I think Yoko is great in the role, she really manages to convey all of Anueng's personality, the giggles in the tense scenes are the character's personality, not a mistake in the Actress's acting, Anueng is a cheeky character, shy at certain moments, understanding, empathetic and a little girly at times, the perfect contrast to A khun Neung
And Aneung doesn't know what to do with Faye's body because the character is inexperienced and that's what she must go through
Yoko acts the character in the novel perfectly. In the novel the girl is mischievous but very shy. Faye herself said that when she saw Yoko for the first time, she thought she was the perfect Aneung.

Hey, i love your channel so much and im always waiting for your videos ❤ but about the love scene , im pretty sure that khun nueng was the one who push anueng , but i wish that people would pay more attention to the story and characters ,the amount of comments saying that Yoko's presence in the series is not necessary and that she doesn't match Faye's energy , is really upsetting. Like anueng's character stands on its own, her character is supposed to be bright, naughty,cute, soft and also the most vulnerable and mature of them , and yoko does all of this very well. Hey , I agree with your analysis about S1 E6 however about this one , I think you didn’t notice that it was KN who moves AN like that and probably to show her dominance over her, and about the expression of Yoko, it was intentional and much harder to portray because she had to show that exploring emotion as KN start biting her ears she doesn’t know if she really likes it , it’s hurting but she is enjoying so she had to show those emotions at the same time. And thats KN keeps asking her if she likes it. So, yea.

Though I disagree with your views on the love scene I also wish it would have been done in a way that makes it clear what's happening cz not everyone has read the book and not everyone will watch it and read comments to understand. When fans need to defend sth so much it means it didn't come out clearly...The pain+ pleasure could be done better so it doesn't look like discomfort
I wouldn’t so much call it “defending” more or so clarifying. It could have been portrayed a bit better I suppose but most people watching this scene was able to get what was supposed to be conveyed. Not everyone will have the same insight, even if it was portrayed differently, I’m sure there would still be some people confused or in the gray.

As someone did mention the cute doctor is a character from another novel called Affair in which she gets a girlfriend as well. (She will be played by another actress in the series that was announced though)
