I saw your video in Brazil before to come to Loughborough where I might stay for same months in a business trip. Now I'm here for already a week and I'm in love with the town. A calm, bucolic, but also a dynamic place depending on the area or time you are.
Being a malaysian, i actually grew up in loughborough. My dad did his Phd at the university there. We lived near the bell foundry. I went to school in cobden primary school. The queens park has such a nostalgia.
Echos the sticky dancefloor lol. Grew up there. Left Loughborough like 8 years ago. The people there are not very nice, heard it's not got any better lol
I live in loughborough, most of the pubs mentioned have gone now, market not good anymore, the town caters for students, not for the locals, alot of homeless sitting around the town but students get accommodation!! No night clubs, shops have closed down,
I was skateboarding in Browns Lane when they turned up in the mobile trucks in 1979 or 1980.They packed it in because we kept shouting at them and they moved to Taylors in town. What year were you born ?What schools did you go ? I was born 69. Went to Mountfields, Garendon, Burleigh.
@@JamesD1701 correct but they set up in QP first. They abandoned the session because they couldn't clean out the background noise (Birds singing / skateboarders shouting) and moved to the foundry .
Just some more information on sack man we’ll not much but... So it’s actually called sock man! I think it’s in Pokemon go as well so it’s actually a really important statue for a reason I’m too young to know
Love that statue... someone was really excited about his new socks :3
The Midland or HSBC bank (depending when you were last here) caught fire recently, the facade seems ok but the building is destroyed.
Had a great time over there at Lufbra Uni long time ago in 1996/97 - thanks for your video which triggered some phantastic memories...
Hello from Mexico! I went to Loughborough to do a master degree. I love it!

Very beautiful town. I have been there in Uni 20 years back. Surrounded by even more beautiful small villages like Shellthorpe etc.
Shelthorpe is a shit hole nowadays
Useful pieces of information, thanks.

Hi benjamin, can you please make a video about self-introduction. I need it for my A Level- english-oral exam
ACDC came to town in 1980 and used the bell sound from The Carillon for the Back In Black album which sold a billion. True shit . Hells Bells !!!!
Where did you hear that?

The bell wasn't from the Carillon but it was cast at the Bell Foundry,
