It is quite difficult also for me as our own wedding set up was not patterned in a traditional Filipino set up. A traditional Filipino wedding is normally held in a Catholic church so There are processes that need to be complied with prior to the wedding. You may inquire from a local Catholic church to know more. Regarding the ceremony itself, the entourage would have several bridesmaids, groomsmen, a child ring bearer and little flower girls plus the Principal Sponsors known as the Ninongs and Ninangs. During the ceremony, there will be symbokic practices. Among these are the cord that symbolizes the oneness of the bride and groom when they enter the married life, the veil which symbolizes how a wife should submit to her husband and how the husband should stand as the leader of the family. And it usually ends with a kiss. After the church ceremony, a reception is held in the couple's chosen hotel or restaurant and another set of ceremonies are done like the first dance as a couple, cake cutting ceremony, throwing of the bouquet and garter, and other elements which can now be determined by the newly-weds and their coordinators.
