    After so many decades it only now occurs me that Titania sings her lines throughout the film...the score certainly encourages her...and Oberon's entrance here still makes me sit up straight.

    Anita Louise was a magnificent Titania, a great combination of delicacy and strength. Also, Nijinsky's sister did the choreography!

    Me thinks Woe to all other stagings, but in Truth I will judge them fair, but to this jewel they will not compare, for Will wrote under the Muse's wing, and Felix too did labor the words to sing, and actors clamor to seize a part, and forevermore the play's the thing in their proud breast, but what say you, Puck. Oberon, Titania or Bottom gains your vote as best?

      Agree 100% and far less eloquently! Won't choose best, though.

      Bottom bears the brunt of the day, others but stage props - neigh, his every act is the clay, Bottom's dream is the play,
