AEW is such a class act with how they honor the legends of the past. I love that about this company and one big reason I support it.

That claw spot with Ethan Page was certainly a highlight. They really know how to honor legends.
As someone who lives with anxiety, I could tell that there was a little bit of truth in that promo from hangman, hell I almost cried a little. And no matter how much he doubts it, he does deserve it.
It's nice that a US promotion can pull off making me care about people I didn't know or care about before and keep me interested in them through long term storylines and logical booking.

I was there for the dynamite anniversary show in Philly (also dark and Rampage taped the same night). It was AWESOME. You won't be disappointed.
Went to the Newark and Arthur Ashe shows. Had a blast each time, especially the Arthur Ashe Stadium show. This company has totally changed the game.

Lord I cannot WAIT for this dynamite. It’ll be second show and the last one I been to (Fight for the Fallen) was the BEST wrestling show I’ve ever been to. Now this one gets me so excited for them to come to my home state and be Hangman’s coronation. AEW makes this 24 year old feel like a kid again!

Not gonna lie, I loved Hangman's tale, but seeing the Baron again was a mark-out moment for me!
AEW's penchant for recognizing and honoring those that came before is one of the best things about AEW. Wether it's Brett Hart, DDP, Owen Hart, The Baron, or any other legend of wrestling, AEW knows the perfect ways to honor those legacies.
That being said, please please PLEASE, when he's well enough to be out and about, bring in "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan. His name deserves to be chanted by an arena full of people. HOOOOOOOOOOO!

exactly. i hope AEW creates a nice retirement plan for some of these older wrestlers. wouldn't it be nice to see scott hall, kevin nash, sean waltman, the baron, magnum TA, lex luger, and other legends be at a convention where they're appreciated by the people and then they sit outside on a beach just knowing that they're living the good life? that is the dream. plus, they deserve a nice cut of some of the merch money they get from pro wrestling tees.

The definition of "getting over" is when wrestlers that were barely alive during Eddie Guerreros "hey day" are doing shout outs to him on another new promotion's ppv (more than)10 years after his death. (FYI)
Eddie is such a legend that I believe even the generation of fans who weren't weren't born during Eddie's time will eventually learn about how great he was. I wasn't around for Piper and Macho Man in their prime and yet I have so much love and respect for them and the legacy they left behind. I loved all the tributes to Latino Heat 🔥❤
That just shows how much Eddie’s legacy and career impacted professional wrestling as a whole. If you didn’t like any of the call backs they did you’re gonna hate when they start the Owen Hart Tournament.

Hangman Adam Page may not have necessarily believed in himself enough to think or wonder whether or not he deserved to be AEW World Champion, but he did because he earned the right, his story chronicled his ups and downs leading to the final showdown with his former friend and Elite faction mate Kenny Omega at Full Gear and the work he put in during that long journey finally paid off for him in the end. Now that Hangman holds AEW's largest prize in the sport he has to prove to himself that he deserves to be that guy that belongs at the top, not to the naysayers or the critics because there are plenty of them out there, but to himself. Hangman Page can prove it through the rivalries, the stories, the opponents, and so much more to come. Hangman Page doesn't need to prove anything to anyone but himself. That being said I hope he has a decent run with the AEW World Championship, go out there every week and make yourself proud cowboy.

All joking aside, the problem with title belts is, the more you create it, the less prestigious the rest of the belts become. AEW isn't like NJPW or AAA with literally 500 wrestlers in their rosters all divided between their weight classes and gimmick. That means Tag Team members cannot challenge for Singles titles and Cruiserweights or Mini-Estrellas cannot challenge for the midcard title or the top championship title.

I'm from Minnesota. Grew up watching AWA. Was 6 years old when I saw Hogan/Bockwinkel at the old met center in Bloomington. Loved Jesse the body Ventura, The High Flyers, Mad Dog Vachon, Jerry Blackwell, Hulk Hogan & Andre (Before they went to WWF), Sheik Adnan Al-Kassie, Bockwinkel, Heenan, Mean Gean Okerlund, all those guys were my childhood, but my favorite was always Baron Von Raschke and The Claw! He was a bad guy but I thought he was so cool! Awesome to see AEW honor him like that! "And That's all You Need To Know"!

Man I like Sammy, but him being attached to the Inner Circle during the American Top Team feud doesn’t do the title any favors. Most every segment is for Jericho instead of Sammy or the title. Jay has all the tools to defend that belt weekly and get over through ring work.

Britt vs. Tay was more a showcase of Tay's skills and what more she can bring to the ring with new moves such as a Moonsault & doing a gotch piledriver🇧🇷 It wasn't Britt's best match but I believe she put over her competitor which is what a good champion does. I would like to see more from Britt though & am glad that she retained! It's still her era.. 🦷
