Watching these again is bringing me joy during the pandemic. People will make snarky comments, but watching these people brought me such joy when I was 9, 10, 11, 12, I can’t even tell you.
Love boat was created not only for young couples but for adults to reconnect. For families to be together. A cruise is expensive. But worthwhile. It gives me a chance to see family members I have missed for so long.
Our wedding night was so beautiful we kissed in the moonlight under thousands of stars. We danced as time stood still for two lovers and gave us peace and time and a quiet place created just for two. The orchestra played just for us. God made tonight for us. He made certain we were safe and sound. He created us to fall in love and to stay in love not to be separated from circumstances.
I absolutely love gopher's song. I reminds me of what I've been through in love. It's hard trying to talk to that beautiful person who you truely love.
My mother’s favorite tv series was the love boat. To this day somewhere up in heaven I know she would be found on one of the ships in her love for my father. She loved the princess cruise line. She watched every episode and wanted to take me along as she did in allowing me to watch the program as a little girl. I may have been about 16 when it first aired. At the time Gopher was the cutest in my mind. As an adult I realize the responsibility of the cruise line to get all the passengers safely to their destinations. Not to disturb couples and be certain that the couples that want to be together stay together. I’d love boat had any flaw it was the fact that some couples who wanted to say they really loved one another did not have the words and means of saying I love you showing it and remaining together. There were so many times I wanted to say I love you in so many ways.
I thought they were all really attractive when I was a Tween. I probably was attracted to Gopher the most but I did sort of have a crush on Doc. 40 years later and I can’t take my eyes off of Captain Stubing!
Thomas is my true love. He is a sailor. Much like a captain on a cruise line but so much more. He is a hero. The kind that will stop and help a stranger the kind that will help a turtle back into the sea. The type of hero that takes time to understand the needs of a loved one and never leaves anyone behind.
God gave us time to be alone together as a young couple exploring the world for the very first time. To freely express our passion when we did not know ourselves what the future would hold we held onto each other. Through the characters in the movies we lived out our passions. They were actors upon the big screen and as child watching the movies we too fell in love with each other. A real life not just a fantasy life. But the fantasy was real too. Dad says there’s a fine line between fantasy and reality. Mom often buried her head in books. She loved hallmark. And I know she loved my father. The princess cruise line sailed for the first time in the 70s. My family history of sailing goes back much farther to other ships.
The first time I met Thomas was in a dream I had at 16. Meeting someone in a dream that becomes reality. Some people never have the chance to love once. Some people never experience the first kiss. I had that and so much more. He is a man not a child. There I was a child admiring a man who could accomplish anything. I could barely tie my shoes and could barely write my own name. To be admiring someone as great as Thomas who could muster a crew and sail his own ship. I had to have something to offer him if I were to keep a man like Thomas. I had to be able to offer him my beauty my talent my ambition. Id better be able to do the things my parents had taught me how to do. If I were to keep the man of my dreams.
Ann Miller too! There was another Y&R actress on Melissa Gilbert's LB episode. It looked like Jack Abbott and Laura Ingalls had Dina Abbott Mergeron as a Mom, Marla Adams.
This episode was such a huge hit they quickly put out an album of love song duets and ensemble show tunes featuring cast members, still available on late-night commercials and QVC. It was the creative inspiration behind the opening song and dance number of the 'Drew Carrey Show'.
Thomas’s love is patient loving and kind he is funny. He knows the combination to my heart. He can unravel any love story and make it simple. With three words I love you now and forever til the end of time but he offers me much more than that a beginning a beautiful beginning. The first time the first kiss the first touch. The first time he ever laid eyes upon me he knew that I was special. That God had taken time with me to be his and his alone. To have and to hold from this day forward for better for worse in sickness and in health til death do us part and if God wished we would love each other better after death. Our love would last til the end of time. There would always be open arms between the two of us. Thomas was no stranger to love but he had often been let down and felt rejected like all of his dreams would end but there was no end I waited at home for him like a light house waiting for him to come back to me.
No, no, no. There’s a website that says that it jumped when they fired Lauren Tewes in Season 8 and the heart of the show was gone. I agree. Julie was a bright light.
OMG! Hilarious..is this a musical??? That seems SO misplaced!!! Other than that, The Love Boat has always been my very favorite series!!! Always fun, entertaining with tons of special guests. 😳🥰😁😏😆
Hasta que se la hicieron al doctor, aunque era su hermana, en esta ocasión, por lo general siempre le quitaba las novias a Goffer!!! Por eso me dió gusto que la señora bailara con el doc..
The main flaw of the Love Boat series were that the episodes are barely longer than a TV add and it's over (intertwined with plenty of real TV adds) . I felt cheated everytime. It's mostly about glamour and the ability of the actors to create a quick impression, the story is almost non existent and very superficial.
Yet the show was still better than what we have on tv, an there has never been another show like her, on a cruze ship. So to me that was amazing that they had actually used the ship for 10 years

Agreed! Very relaxing as a 40 something

This episode aired nine months after Happy Birthday to Me (1981) premiered with Melissa Sue as Virginia Wainwright and Tracey as Ann Thomerson.
Ann Miller, once and always Boffo! She looks Fabulous!
When I was little I admired all those pretty & sparkling dresses✨

Loved this episode. I wish I knew the broadway show this song came from. Very sweet.
Love Tracey
Tracey is stunning even now at 58. Gorgeous lady
I had such a crush on Doc as a Tween and wished I had a Dad that cared.

Daddy issues... my kind of gal.

Doc is as protective over his sister and Gopher as ....Gopher was over his sister (Melissa Sue aka Jennifer)& Doc.😂😂😂🤣🤣

When did they ever have Gopher or any of them sing before?! Really weird!
I don’t remember this ever happening before.
Of course, I haven’t watched the show in 35 years but...
This episode was such a huge hit they quickly put out an album of love song duets and ensemble show tunes featuring cast members, still available on late-night commercials and QVC. It was the creative inspiration behind the opening song and dance number of the 'Drew Carrey Show'.
Gopher sang with Ethel Merman in Season 3 and his tv dad on Season 2.
Oh baby doll!!!
She was so cute in the early 80s
A gorgeous lady in a black one piece bathing suit at the 0:13 mark, this is a great 1982 Love Boat episode!
Gopher making his singing move made me seasick.
I agree 200% with you.

Isnt anyone gonna say how great Ann Miller looks? shes 59 here.

She didn’t look much different in Mulholland Drive (2001) at 78.
Episode 24 - “Gopher hits that”

Why was this video recommended to me? I watched it, though.

Ưh
No, no, no. There’s a website that says that it jumped when they fired Lauren Tewes in Season 8 and the heart of the show was gone. I agree. Julie was a bright light.
@@ravenel2 I agree.
She always been a baddie 😍
Tracey is hotter now then ever before!!!! If that is humanly possible?!?!
She was smoking hot.
Daron French
How did she keep a straight face through the goofy line of nonsense (when he sang)
Ann Miller looks younger than her age. 😮😮
Fred Grandy as Gopher @ Burl.
OMG! Hilarious..is this a musical??? That seems SO misplaced!!! Other than that, The Love Boat has always been my very favorite series!!! Always fun, entertaining with tons of special guests. 😳🥰😁😏😆

She looks better now.
Tracey is sooo hot!
Teenage Lauren so cute
She's 19. He's 34. Kind of creepy, actually.

@@thomascolucci4984 I agree, thanks to the hollyzrael
I don’t agree! If you sign up to get the shows on CBS/Paramount, they are 49 minutes long, unless it was a special episode. I always loved this show.
Gopher singing? What?
I don't remember this Aaron Spelling D-Grade effort having canned laughter?
Is that Joe Pesci?
I think I see Sheila lurking about.
Uhhhh😶
What’s with the singing ? Hahahahah
Wtf is this
Bridget Murphy Uhhh, The Love Boat
Gopher way overboard and out of his league.
He was outta every girls league lmao, gopher and issac were my fav duo when appearing in scenes together, single fav was Doc
