thank you Candace, I try to make it easy for beginners to get good results that way they are encouraged to continue. I need to make another leaf tutorial for more kinds of leaves. I am putting it on my list as we speak.
Up till now Pamela you are the only one showing how to do the left side finishing off the leaf each one has their hand in the way & up till now I couldn’t see how to finish the leaf good one thank you for showing me keep your good work coming from the 82 year old Australia. 🇦🇺☹️🇦🇺🌸
Isn't that frustrating? I try very hard to make sure it is all visible. Retaking a video a couple times if I must. I am so glad you found it helpful.
oh my goodness you've saved me, im putting a piece in an art show and im painting in a different style than normal and was loosing it over the leaves until i found this video! the way you've explained this makes it so much easier to learn. thank you!

Hello! As an art conservator, I thank you in advance for your content, which helped me a lot in the reconstruction of an oil painting that had lost part of its initial composition (dissolving) due to the action of extreme humidity. I have a painting where I need to put grape leaves and vines in one area, and in another area, larger leaves on a hill. This was a GREAT tutorial and I Will be watching it again until I master your techniques.

Just a quick tip, if u don't have any dark green you can use what u have and mix some black in it or visa versa, of u need light green, add white

Why you make it look so easy! I really struggle with the one stroke leaves so I'll keep practicing.
It took me awhile and lots of practice to get them where I liked and the more you do the the easier it becomes. I am glad you are not throwing in the towel!
I find it works smoother if you gesso the card stock
Kind of like the canvas'.

What size brush?
It doesn't matter, a flat brush, choose which you want for the size of leaf you are making.
will this technique work on canvas board since surface isnt that smooth of a canvas
Yes, it certainly will.

Like watching a magician. When I try this it looks like a toddler's attempt; an insult to toddlers tbh.
Keep practicing, you should see some of my first attempts! Don't get discouraged you can get it. I haven't got a lick of talent, this was all from practicing.
I love this but you should see my efforts! Is there a moment when you just think ‘woa, I’ve got the hang of this, I can do this without thinking!’ Is it like learning to ride a bike and suddenly you think ‘I’ve got it!’?
