  • Going over everything you NEED to get started on a short reed goose call. Were going over how to hold the goose call, how to present the goose call to your mouth, how to present air to the call, and how to honk!
This is the first video of the series. Until you master this, DO NOT MOVE ON. Everything else will be built from this.
The goose call im blowing in this video is the SFX......You can find it here jtcalls.com/products/sfx-goos...
If you are just starting with a short reed goose call and you are considering a JT call. I would recommend the SFX. If you are more advanced, I would suggest the Short Fuse. You can find it here

Seriously has to be one of the best calling tutorials on here. I’d know, because I search tips for almost everything. Way to go bro, I’ll be buying one of your calls next just for the respect of what you are giving to everyone. Realizing that there isn’t a harder force to break over the call is the biggest tip. Also “some guys use the front of their tongue amd some guys the middle” that’s a great bit of advice to not correct a large portion of folks not needing to be corrected. Keep em coming!

Honestly I have been practicing for almost a week at this point and I still can’t get a honk out of the sfx using this method.
