I like the way you make your knots on your stretch bracelets! I'm going to have to try this method next time when I make a stretch bracelet, because in the past, I've been making a type of "square" knot when I join the 2 ends of elastic cording together. I never thought of using the pliers to pull the cording through the loop like the way you show it! I'm so glad I found your RUclips channel and subscribed to it!
Am I missing where you doubled the cord inside the blue bracelet? I’ve replayed it and don’t see how the blue one is “doubled” in strength like you said it was. Asking because I want to make sure that using the 0.5 mm cord truly is strong enough for heavier beads such as these. Thank you.
Wendy, Go to 7:15 on the time of the video. You can see I fold the cording in half (which doubles the cording.) You should always use the largest size cording but it need to fit in the bead hole.
My favorite stretch cord is Stretch Magic. I have a stretch bracelet that I wear every day and I usually have to restring the bracelet every 1 1/2 to 2 years.
Always string the largest hole bead last. Before stringing, I go through and look for the biggest bead hole. I'm so happy you enjoyed the video! Thank you for subscribing to my channel!
I'm going to be making a stretch bracelet for a man that told me his wrist is 6-1/2" [he's over 6-feet tall] and I was told, by another jewelry maker, to make the bracelet the exact size of his wrist. Is this true?
Jennie, It depends on the size of the beads. If you use big beads, the length with be longer. What size is your wrist? Mine is 6 1/2" - I always test the bracelet on my wrist before I finish it to make sure of a proper fit. I hope this helps.
Where can I buy that long "elastic" cord needle you used when you made the fuschia [sp?] colored beads? And what size elastic cording will it work with?

@@DeniseYezbakMoore Thank you Denise! Next time I go to Michael's, I'll look for it. I already have the other long beading needles that come in a 4-pack. Also by Beadalon. I also recently bought another pair of Needle Nose pliers to use when I make some more "wire loops"! Thanks again! 😊

Thank you so much Jennie! Everyone has different styles and techniques. I use the technique that I think works best.
@@DeniseYezbakMoore I’m definitely going to try that Denise. Never thought about doing it like that before 👍🙂

Perfect Tut! Do you ever use the elastic cord for bracelets? I hear is not good to use because if it gets wet it will break.
My favorite stretch cord is Stretch Magic. I have a stretch bracelet that I wear every day and I usually have to restring the bracelet every 1 1/2 to 2 years.
I always wondered how they hide the knots so well.
