- G'day Folks. Well I just couldn't wait to get my hands on one as you know. The M8 Manticore coil. I try out some more discrimination settings, this time while metal detecting with the Manticore.

Evening Andrew! Don't empty that place out Mate, Mish will be miffed if there's nothing left to find, and I still want to see her find her first token, With what you found on this hunt, it seems like there are still some goodies hidden away, at least I hope so! I haven't been getting out there much of late, my last find was a 2cent piece, and for some reason I wasn't overjoyed, the previous and only good find, a week or so before, was a beautiful little 1918 thrip! I was so happy I almost married it, but then I realised there was a bloke on the front of it, and I'm just not that kind of a coin, plus it was born 40 years before me, so the age difference didn't work for me either! Looks like I'm going to remain a single threepence till I'm totally spent, Ah! Such is life! But one good thing about it is, the great company I get to keep on a Saturday evening, when I go out detecting with the Coffee Bush Kid! Thanks Mate, Speaking of "Mate" M8, Where would you be without Viv, I wish I had someone to think for me, I'd have a much better chance remembering what I'm supposed to be doing! Cheers Mate!

Another great day out finding searching for goodies and some goodies there are too. Only ever found one barrel tap as such but many special keys to fit them, the medalion and the token was another few favvorite finds. well found and GL with the new coil on your next outing 🙂👍👋 Tony

Been watching you for a while now Andrew and thought you had a sound idea and explanation of the manufacture of the relics that you find only for you to say that you’re a toolmaker on this episode as I am too, also using a manticore. My english half sov was 36 on my manti at around a foot deep,never air tested it to see if it was different.Waiting patiently for my M8 to arrive :(
Gday Phillip. There is just a little variation in the half sovs depending how they lay. Am just covering bases so I don’t miss one. It’s only two numbers for peace of mind. Glad to hear you are getting an M8. You will love it 😁👍
