HONEST CRAWLS: Episode I The Heights of Hype It's been 16 years since we have seen a Star Wars film. Many thought we would never see this day, but with the greatest anticipation ever for a film, millions around the world wait to see the telling of a new trilogy, and with the saga being told from the beginning. However, many were not convinced by the trailers that their expectations would be met, and not having DARTH VADER, the saga's most iconic character in this episode causes the original trilogy fans to be concerned this void will not be able to be filled. The fact that GEORGE LUCAS, the saga's creator, has returned to the director's chair, also raises concerns. Nevertheless, in theaters filled to capacity, many of which who waited outside the cinema's literally for days to be at the premiere viewing, millions all over the world now are about to find out if the hype was justified, and if their hopes and anticipations will be fulfilled.
Thanks for using the actual released score for Rise of Skywalker instead of the re-used score from The Force Awakens. Disney couldn't even get _that_ right!
I actually didn’t make the Episode IX crawl but I’ve got the link to it in the description. Tbh I like this version better than I do the one that’s in the movie. This one is actually on cue with the music unlike the real one.
Don’t you just love how the opening crawls of 7 and 8 are basically identical? It’s almost like setting Last Jedi 5 seconds after Force Awakens was a really dumb idea.
My Rankings: 1. Episode VI 2. Episode VII and VIII 3. Episode III 4. Episode IX 5. Episode I and II 6. Episode V 7. Episode IV For some reason the trumpet in Return of the Jedi feels magical to me, and the Force Awakens / Last Jedi feels very clean. I think Rise of Skywalker is too slow
Gee, Is this themed to the *Star Wars Expanded Universe* ? I hope so because it’s been 7 years since I’ve seen “Star Wars: Episode 7- The Force Awakens” debut in theaters
I, II, and III are the same, as are VII and VIII and the theatrical version of IX. The only unique ones are IV, V, and VI (the latter being my favorite).
Episode 4 is the best one. It starts out without any specifics. Just general stuff but very dramatic. “It is a period of Civil War.” Rebel spaceships Hidden base Evil galactic Empire Only then it gets more specific and you read about plans for a Death Star. All crawls should’ve started like that. Assuming the viewer hadn’t watched any previous episodes. Seems more dramatic to me.
Notice how ANH is the only one to end the song with those last few notes. It ends on a low note while the other five have the higher one. I like how you took the IV off. 👍
Original trilogy. A new hope The empire strikes back Return of the jedi Prequel trilogy. The phantom menace Attack of the clones Revenge of the sith Sequel trilogy . The force awakens The last jedi The rise of skywalker Episode 10 in the future
A lot of people do but each Episode has its on unique opening. It’s really hard to spot the differences with the prequels but they are there. The same goes for Episode 7 and 8.
The trumpet holds the note a bit too long in VI at the beginning flourish -- like he's trying to impress us. It bothers me. And the trumpet is not mixed well after. I didn't realize how weird the flourish in IV sounded as well. I prefer the prequels. The sequels are weak.
I hate the first two prequels but revenge was pretty good. I can understand why you don't like the sequels as much but I like them and I am allowed to.

Ok answer me this: In the first movie, Padme Amidala is a queen. In the second movie, it is stated that she abdicated the throne and became a senator. Monarchy and politics are not the same thing, but obviously, a former royal can run for politics. However, how could Leia be a princess if her mother abdicated the throne and her father, that is Anakin Skywalker, is not a king?
To answer your question, Naboo is a democratic monarchy, and Padme served an elected term. Secondly, Leia didn’t know who her real parents were until Luke told her. Her adopted parents were the heads of Alderaan.
After you get old enough, you realize that alot of westerns and war films did this. There are a ridiculous amount of ideas Lucas drew upon to create a hodgepodge now recognizable as Srar Wars.
Turmoil has engulfed the Galactic Republic. The taxation of trade routes to outlying star systems is in dispute. Classic George Lucas writing right there
Original: good arrangement, poor recording Prequel: best arrangement, good recording Sequel: good arrangement, best recording (the sound is very clean) But somehow the 9th is not as good as 7 and 8 imo
Notice how episode 4 didn’t have a number originally? That was supposed to be the only Star Wars movie. But George Lucas kept it going by popular demand, and man, am I glad he did.
Fun fact: It was always supposed to be a saga. The reason why it did not have 4 in the title was because George didn’t know if it was going to be a success. (I could be wrong)
Cuando suena la fanfarria de 20th Century Fox siempre sabre que comenzará LA GUERRA DE LAS GALAXIAS. Se dan cuenta que el golpe de orquesta a partir del episodio 7 8 y 9 ya no causa impresión. Episode 7: Luke Skywalker has Vanished
I believe IX was the longest, at 1:33. II was the shortest, at 1:24.
Dear Madison Sims. My 2-yr old son has some severe delayed speech. A love for orchestra and wall scroll. Thank you for giving me a moment of peace with my son.

I think we all agree that the opening crawl from episode 1-3 are the best in terms of epicness and depth :)

Oh wow. What an intelligent, original, well formulated statement. You one the Internet comment award. Congratulations
@@StarWarsHour he's right, tho
I mean the prequel title crawls are awful lmfao
You mean the classic trilogy and the prequals are the only six that truly compleate the Star Wars saga and not the sequal trilogy with episodes 7-9
@@StarWarsHour And your profile picture supports pedophilia.
3:00: the opening crawl to the best Star Wars movie
HONEST CRAWLS:
Episode I
The Heights of Hype
It's been 16 years since we have seen a Star Wars film.
My favorite episode 6 by far❤❤❤😍😍😍
I will never forget the first time i saw this oppenings
This is beautiful ❤
Don’t you just love how the opening crawls of 7 and 8 are basically identical? It’s almost like setting Last Jedi 5 seconds after Force Awakens was a really dumb idea.
My Rankings:
1. Episode VI
2. Episode VII and VIII
3. Episode III
4. Episode IX
5. Episode I and II
6. Episode V
7. Episode IV
For some reason the trumpet in Return of the Jedi feels magical to me, and the Force Awakens / Last Jedi feels very clean. I think Rise of Skywalker is too slow
Goosebumps❤
NOTHING like seeing and hearing it in a cinema
Imagine seeing Revenge of the Sith there back in 2005 😭🤧
Gee, Is this themed to the *Star Wars Expanded Universe* ? I hope so because it’s been 7 years since I’ve seen “Star Wars: Episode 7- The Force Awakens” debut in theaters
Every Time When i Hear The Episode IV Variant of The Star Wars Theme, i Think of THE STAR WARS HOLIDAY SPECIAL!
For me the most famous opening crawl is AHN as it was the very first one and the only one without a sub title during it's inaugural release.
Legendary Star Wars Music 🎶 🎵 The Maestro Sir John Williams ✨✨✨✨
My favorite episode is Revenge Of the Sith
4:37 that’s way before, it was plastered with the episode 4 a new hope for the 1981 rerelease after, the empire strikes back a year later.
Ey Star Wars 77 still has the original unedited crawl
Episode III IV V VI IX crawl music are my favorite
The crawl music for 3 is exactly the same and 1 and 2
Mine is V VI VII and IX.
I think Episode I and II are the same but I’m pretty sure Episode III is different
Madison Sims Episode I, II, III had the same
I, II, and III are the same, as are VII and VIII and the theatrical version of IX. The only unique ones are IV, V, and VI (the latter being my favorite).
Is it just me or the prequels have the best rendition of the main theme? :V
Nope I hear it too!
This Is The Way
I Have Spoken
My all time favorite is Episode lll!!!
I Can’t believe it was Dr.Huyang this whole time.
Episode 4 is the best one.
It starts out without any specifics. Just general stuff but very dramatic.
“It is a period of Civil War.”
Rebel spaceships
Hidden base
Evil galactic Empire
Only then it gets more specific and you read about plans for a Death Star.
All crawls should’ve started like that. Assuming the viewer hadn’t watched any previous episodes.
Seems more dramatic to me.
Notice how ANH is the only one to end the song with those last few notes. It ends on a low note while the other five have the higher one. I like how you took the IV off. 👍
The London Symphony Orchestra did the first 6. And I guess the Disney Studio Orchestra did the last 3.
Original trilogy.
A new hope
The empire strikes back
Return of the jedi
Prequel trilogy.
The phantom menace
Attack of the clones
Revenge of the sith
Sequel trilogy .
The force awakens
The last jedi
The rise of skywalker
Episode 10 in the future
Up until recently I thought all the crawls had the same music...
A lot of people do but each Episode has its on unique opening. It’s really hard to spot the differences with the prequels but they are there. The same goes for Episode 7 and 8.
@@madisonsims4536 episodes I II and III are all the same bruh
The earlier version that doesnt say Episode IV A New Hope....
thank you‼️
The trumpet holds the note a bit too long in VI at the beginning flourish -- like he's trying to impress us. It bothers me. And the trumpet is not mixed well after. I didn't realize how weird the flourish in IV sounded as well. I prefer the prequels. The sequels are weak.
Imo it sounds very grand cause it is supposed to be the last episode in the trilogy but I do agree that it wasn’t mixed very well.
I like that part!! Sound so thriumphant 🎉🤩
I hate the first two prequels but revenge was pretty good. I can understand why you don't like the sequels as much but I like them and I am allowed to.
4:21 It is a period of civil war.
5:49 It is a dark time for the rebellion.
7:21 Luke Skywalker has returned to his home planet of Tatooine...
0:00 Turmoil has engulfed the Galactic Republic.
1:35 There is unrest in the Galactic Senate.
2:55 WAR! The Senate is crumbling under devastating attacks by the devious Sith Lord, Count Dooku.
[not featured] A GALAXY DIVIDED!
8:53 Luke Skywalker has vanished.
10:28 The First Order reigns.
12:00 The Dead Speak!
Rest in peace, James Earl Jones (1931-2024)
I swear if @davidwhatsthatabout7404 dares to make another stupid "Why do you care?" comment!
That was rude of him, that is just disrespectful to say that when it's about someone who just passed away.
@@tonyparra8459 I know, right?! He's just a stupid asshole who has nothing better to do in his life but insult others! If something bad happens to him, then we'll be the ones to say "Why do you care?" so he'll know what it's like!
Why do they not have "Episode IV: A New Hope" as a title for Star Wars episode IV?
Well that's because they added A New Hope to the title when it was rereleased in 1981
The dead speak!
Is she the princess of Alderaan?
To answer your question, Naboo is a democratic monarchy, and Padme served an elected term. Secondly, Leia didn’t know who her real parents were until Luke told her. Her adopted parents were the heads of Alderaan.
If the movie is good or awful? Seeing the title crawl in a theater is worth the price of admission
Which movie are you talking about? There aren’t any Star Wars movies releasing in theaters that I know of, unless we’re talkin’ rereleases.

My favorite Opening Crawl is ROTJ
You left out the Twenteith Century -Fox fanfare
The resistance vs the first order vs the old empire. What’s the goal of all this?
Always preferred the 1977 version, sounds deeper and better to me
oh. the theatrical version of A New Hope? at the time, it was originally called Star Wars.
Classic George Lucas writing right there
5 copyright claims for the same damn song
Original: good arrangement, poor recording
Prequel: best arrangement, good recording
Sequel: good arrangement, best recording (the sound is very clean)
But somehow the 9th is not as good as 7 and 8 imo
Nice!
Thanks!
When the 20 Century fox´s fanfare sounds, I will always know that THE EPIC STAR WARS will start. Notice that the first strike of the orchestra from the Episode 7, 8 and 9 doesn´t cause any impression as well as the elementary of their episodes of the new trilogy that will stand in the oblivion
