It's more of him realizing that it's over. He's finally done it, No one will stop him from reaching heaven, and in knowing that, all the anger he felt stops...just for a moment.

VS Dudley "There are things which mere humans simply cannot understand." turns into "You need to stop throwing roses if you call yourself a gentleman, it shows you hate flowers, and I wanted to gorw my own garden" It just makes Oni seem hilarious if you misread his quotes meanings in such a way.

With exception to Juri, Evil Ryu and Seth, Oni's other quotes are all scarily calm. Kind of like how you wouldn't make a big fuss over crushing ants, nor would you feel the need to prove how above an ant you are. And in the case of Juri, Evil Ryu and Seth, they have reasons for more emotion. Juri assumingly wasn't trying since she likes to play with who she's fighting, which would tick off pretty much anyone. Killing Seth shows the whole world what is coming to them now that he's slaughtered the best fighters around. Killing Evil Ryu means he's killed the one Akuma thought could match him, and shredded probably the last tie to Akuma Oni has. None of the ultra characters should mean anything to Oni, so it's strange they decided to make those quotes so aggressive.

(I don't know if they are now) Starting from that.. we can't compare them because we hadn't seen them anywhere else than in the actual game (SFA2 and USF4). Power levels in fighting game are non existent as we, the players play "balanced" fighters. So you can beat Oni with Dan (for example). So.. I'm only left with one "theory" if you want to call it that way. Oni is Gouki (Akuma) when he failed to control the dark hado/ satsui no hado.. from which "Oni" was born and took control as he is the incarnation of whatever fans want to say.. Evil god / demon / satsui no hado. Now.. Shin Gouki (Akuma) has mastered satsui no hado (the very thing that Oni sprout from) and retains full control of his human form while "owning" the power of the dark hado / satsui no hado. So this is why I think that Shin Akuma should beat Oni. Sure.. I can be wrong... Thx for the comment :)
