Marissa you are a kind beautiful selfless soul hair is hair is hair to those of us that have it but for those going through the unthinkable it is confidence and a way to show up and be comfortable in their own skin. Your new look is amazing 🌟
💔 my precious aunt passed away from breast cancer after a 5 year battle with 3 diagnosis. Thank you for your kindness!and I am so sorry for your loss! Sending love!
My mother-in-law has Multiple Myeloma. She's in remission, but because it is a blood cancer, she will never truly be free. I shaved my head in solidarity in September 2019. Had my first haircut two weeks ago. Thank you for donating. Your new haircut looks great!
You are such an inspiring person, and your videos have helped me so much! My mother died from cancer when I was 10. My grandparents raised me. Then my grandpa died 3 weeks before my daughter was born, and my grandma died a year later. I have had so many issues with emotional hoarding. Then I found your videos! Your videos have helped me so much with letting go. I can’t thank you enough! 💜
My sweet husband also lost his hair during his battle against cancer. He rocked the bald head but we all sure missed his beautiful curls. He's been gone 4 years now. Still love him. Still miss him. Thank you for your kind gift. 💜
Oh my goodness I have never cried so hard watching some body cut their own hair and of course never have laughed so hard at somebody's cutting their own hair when they messed it up (Back of your hair) Cutting your hair was very emotional for me it must have triggered so many emotions deep in me, And you look very nice when you fixed your hair cut I just found your video today some how I just wanted to see a video of de clutter and found you All my years I suffered from emotional herding and the story is too long and more than 30 or 40 times I went through my stuff and reduced them but still my stuff is too much so I know God has given me wisdom to get rid off a lot this time which I could not even imagine letting go of them before, at this time all I need is to find them the right home (selling or donating) You mentioned it in your other video that it feels good when you find a good home for your stuff I am very happy to find your channel and I know God is using you for many people who suffer from emotional herding With love from IRAN ❤
Thank you so much for being here and for sharing your story too. A lot of people asked why didn’t I use different scissors and honestly there were two reasons: 1) like you saw, we decluttered and only have two scissors, so those were the best of the two 2) those scissors were my dad’s, who passed of cancer in 2005, so it was also symbolic ❤️ Thanks again and cheers from Germany 🇩🇪
@@AtoZenLife Thank you for replying and sharing the story of your wrong kind of scissors for your hair cut it is very heart touching for me I lost my father to cancer also I also have very long hair that needs to be cut shorter , I have bought the right scissors a long ago I just have to get the courage and cut my own hair ☺
Bless your heart Marissa for donating your gorgeous hair! 🥰 By the age of 42 I was a 2 times Breast Cancer Survivor, I was devastated when I lost all my hair! 💕 Soon I will be celebrating my 64th birthday! 🥳
Marissa, you are so amazing! My sister who is more like a mom had ovarian cancer at 20 and has been in remission for 16 years. Thank you for this. I also remember crying with her after she saw her hair going down the drain. Your mom was so beautiful, and she passed that down to you. Beautiful in spirit as well!
My mom always hated wearing a wig too. I’ve donated my hair multiple times and it makes it all worth while to give up that part of yourself. And PS- you look so much like your mom. ❤️
I lost my mom to lung cancer 35 years ago this month; my grandma to lung cancer; and my very best friend, my older sister, to uterine cancer 8 years ago. I cried with empathy as I watched you generously and courageously cut your hair. I have donated my hair in my mom's memory because I have black hair and blue eyes, an Irish trait I inherited from her. I'm doubly blessed because I've outlived her lifespan and am intimately involved with my daughter and 4 grandkids' lives. Hugs and love from one resilient, optimistic, appreciative daughter to another!!! 💜
My 6 year old has Alopecia, he received shots in his scalp and has most of his hair back! I never even thought about hair donations going to people with Alopecia!!! Considering donating!!! ❤️❤️❤️💇🏻♀️💇🏻♀️💇🏻♀️
The generosity of our hair that makes us feel beautiful that is given to some stranger to do the same is such a kind and noble jester. We don’t realize the smallest act of kindness can do so much.
💜Prostate Cancer for my dad. Ovarian Cancer for one aunt. Breast Cancer for another aunt. Thank you for putting this video together. There is so much love here.
When I was in 6th grade I found out people lost their hair and that I could donate mine. I have thick, beautiful hair… I have growth out and donated my hair since then. I just recently shaved completely (which was the one thing my mom never allowed me to do 😊 bless her). I’ve heard so many people tell me that I look so much better with long hair and that I’ve done enough. I have donated more then 13 pony tails of 13in each. I don’t think it will ever be enough, but now I make enough money to donate that instead. I also am older and my hair isn’t growing as fast as it once did. I love watching others donate their hair! Thank you for donating. I know it makes someone’s day when they get real hair to play with. 💜💜💜
I don’t know why I’m crying, I guess I’m just so touched by your selflessness and kindness. You honor your parents by reflecting their qualities so your boys can have a sense of them and, hopefully, pass them on to their own families. I’m grateful that you share these life events and wisdoms with your subscribers.
My mother survived breast cancer when I was 9. She never complained either, I didn’t even realize she had cancer until later because she just told us about “the lump”. She did everything, radiation therapy and chemotherapy during our school hours. My hero always.
My grown up daughter spent years growing her hair so that she could do this. Just recently she was able to finally donate it. She is such a giving person & I am so proud of her for this & many other reasons.
Sorry you lost your mom to cancer. I lost my mom to ovarian cancer in 2005 and I had breast cancer in 2017. That’s amazing you could donate hair to such a good cause.
You look sooo cute with short hair! And I love how you added the story about your mom. Makes it so much more meaningful. Donating hair is a beautiful thing to do!
Such a kind and selfless thing to do Marissa - unfortunately I lost my Mum too quickly to cancer that she wasn’t able to start any treatment. But my friend absolutely rocked her real hair wig and made a full recovery 💜 💜 💜 💜 💜 💜 💜 xx
I recently cut enough to donate (8", not 18") and I was so amazed at how happy I was with the lightness after the cut. YOU LOOK AMAZING. Good on you (the hair, and the donating).
👏👏👏👏👏👏 well done. 💜💜💜💜 In my life time I have lost 4 family members to cancer 😔. Thank you for your generosity, my sister did the same thing years ago, she has tons of hair, she got her work colleagues to donate money to the cancer foundation and each person was allowed to cut of her hair, which had been secured into lots of ponytails. I can't remember how much money she raised but it was a lovely gesture on her part. I have also donated my hair on 2 occasions, but since becoming a mom I don't let it grow long enough to donate. Your new haircut looks fantastic 👏👏👏😍😍😍😍😍😘
That was nice of you. I have a different outlook on hair, after my sister lost hers 3 times during 6 years of chemo. Its just hair. It does not define you. Its an accessory, like a scarf, or earrings. I think during the winter, its possibly more important. My sisters wigs drove her nuts, they itched, and as she lost weight, her wigs looked bigger. She eventually would not wear them. She opted for a bald head, red lipstick and big red hoop earrings. To each their own. I miss her. I miss everything about her.
@@AtoZenLife she was super funny and super fun to hang out with. When she had stubble, a chia pet commercial was on TV. Her 11 year old son reached up and ran his hand over her head and said Chia Mom! She laughed and that became her nickname, her email address, her everything. Maybe some women would have cried. She embraced that moment.
Marissa, with your hair cut you look just as beautiful and you will make someone so happy with your cut hair extensions. When my sister had breast cancer I shaved the back of my hair off just for her there wasn't enough to donate but I felt like I was supporting her in her rough journey. So from an Australian fan congratulations you did amazing.
My dad died from pancreatic cancer almost 5 years ago 💜 I haven’t cried for a long time and now while watching this video I cannot stop crying. Thank you for posting this. Hugs !
I cry because I'm happy to have been able to colour my grandma's hair the other day. 5 years in remission 💕 thank you so much for sharing this with us. Your new hairstyle is gorgeous.
Way to go, Marissa! The weight of it all has literally been lifted off your shoulders! I've donated four times now in honor of family members afflicted with cancer. The sound of the scissors cutting through bit by bit is the worst part. Afterwards, knowing that it will help another person in their own comfort brings such joy. Now, you're rocking the new look! Reminds me of Sakura! (Naruto).
When my aunt passed away in 2012 from cancer, I cut my hair and donated it also. She meant a lot to me, and she had always loved my hair. I felt closure in being able to pass it on to bless someone else in her memory. That was almost ten years ago, and I think it's about time to do it again. Thank you for the inspiration!
💓 My mom died from breast cancer when I was 13. I have enjoyed your videos and it has definitely helped me to let go of more of the things I have had in boxes simply because they were hers.
My sister was diagnosed with Breast Cancer last year right at the beginning of Covid.. what a year it was to get through but she did it!! She was so brave but like your Mum, the thing that she struggled with the most was losing her hair! To make it easier on her, I shaved my head too, so we could be bald together 💕 Thank you for sharing your journey!! I love your videos and your authenticity ☺️
