    Great video mate!
    Another tip I would add is 2 pairs of socks per day and well waterproofed and snug army boots. I prefer them over wellies because while wellies would be a bit better for waterproofing, they're not exactly the best for comfort when you're on your feet all day. And the socks, well you don't want to walk around with wet feet. A friend of mine got trenchfoot from walking round in soaking wet trainers all weekend.

      Thanks!
      Good shouts there, I've had aches and pains before from having to wear the wellies all day!
      Luckily 🤞 it seems like the weather is going to be quite nice this year again, so hopefully he won't get trenchfoot again 😅

      @@StegWi_ My last Download was 2018 and it was very dry. I wore my Red Wings the whole time and I have to say it really does make a huge difference to invest in comfortable boots. And make sure you look after them so the leather doesn't crack and they have plenty of dubbin for waterproofing. You don't want leaky boots.

    I discovered that the biggest thing was buying a decent cool box especially last year at Bloodstock! It took a real battering due to the heat but still managed to keep stuff cool to a reasonable degree!

    • @StegWi_
      @StegWi_  Год назад +1

      I can't say that it's ever really been on my to take lists, way too much of a walk as it is without a big hulking cool box 😂
      Although bloodstock was absolutely boiling last year so you definitely made a good purchase!

      @@StegWi_ to be fair mine was on a trolley I should have added ahaha! It was great for food and booze (I'll let you figure out the ratio on that!)! Also, I should have also said a bloody good trolley if you plan to take loads is a god send! Much like the tent buy cheap expect rubbish!

      You're a much more organized individual than me then 😂
      This is the first year I'm gonna take advantage of the click and collect from the co-op, getting real tired of lugging crates of dark fruits through the car park, managed to commandeer a friend's trolley last year at DL and it was a god send!

      @@StegWi_ ahahah! It's all a learning curve! I've been doing smaller fests for some years and going to major ones has a whole new learning curve to it! It's all good fun though! I'll try and say hello if your at BS this year! I wasnt too fussed about DL originally then the lineup just got better and better but sadly too late for me!

      I was shocked at how quickly DL sold out, but I am over the moon with the lineup, for me it might even be the best they've done whilst I've been going!
      I do indeed have a BS ticket for this year, so yeah maybe I'll see you there! 🤘

    @StegWi Brazilian here with no UK festival experience looking to attend Download 2024... if I stay at a hotel in a nearby town, how easy would it be for me to uber to/back to the festival?

    • @StegWi_
      @StegWi_  9 месяцев назад

      Hi!
      It would depend on where you were actually staying. Some areas around the festival will probably be doing shuttles every day it is on, but that will vary.
      I have never stayed in any of the surrounding areas myself, I have always camped on site so Im not really the best person to give advice on this.
      If you have a Facebook account, I can suggest that you join this group:
      facebook.com/groups/DownloadMusicFestival/?ref=share
      It is full of people who will be happy to give you advice and who may have done the same thing before.
      🙂

    Hey man does the 5 day camping ticket include access to the actual music festival or do I need to buy them separate?

    • @StegWi_
      @StegWi_  Год назад +2

      Download do not sell camping only tickets, so if your ticket says 5 day camping, you will be able to access the campsites and arena for the duration of the festival 🤘
      Depending on when you bought it, the 5 day camping ticket should be around £300-350.
      It will not include the parking though, that is a separate charge of around £30 if you pre-book it.
      If you don't have a parking ticket though, don't worry, you should be able to pay on the day, it will be about £35 for the whole 5 days (Wednesday 7am until Monday 12pm).
      Of course, if you're not driving, you won't need to worry about that 🤘

    • @Adam-to2no
      @Adam-to2no Год назад

      @@StegWi_ okay thank you so much, so I don’t need to buy any single tickets on top?

    • @StegWi_
      @StegWi_  Год назад +1

      No, you shouldn't have to.
      What is the exact description of your tickets on Ticketmaster?
      If it says something along the lines of 'weekend & 5 day camping' then it includes the 'weekend' -which is to say the 4 days of music, and the 5 days camping as well.

    • @Adam-to2no
      @Adam-to2no Год назад +1

      @@StegWi_ yeah it says weekend & 5 night camping, thanks so much for putting my mind a ease man 🙏

    • @StegWi_
      @StegWi_  Год назад +2

      You're golden then, that will give you access to the arena for the 4 days of music, the village, and the general campsites.
      No worries, it can be anxiety inducing sometimes with the sheer amount of different ticket types flying around out there! 🤘

      Thanks for watching mate, glad you enjoyed!
      I'm probably not the best person to ask about this, since I've only ever don't the 5 days so I've not had to worry about it. I suppose it depends how big is a ' big fucking tent'? 😂
      If you get there relatively early on Friday, it might not be too bad, but they have lowered the capacity this year I think so the layout may have changed somewhat from last year.
      That being said, if you're willing to camp a fair bit away from the busy areas, you'll probably be fine.
