Thanks Brotha Frog for your retained information into the past & proof to back it up. I have over 50 Brim pictures but not one has a red bandana dating from 1974 & back. I have a faded picture of Lil Kountry and I Christmas 1971 and he has a blue bandana in his pocket. I believe one leg of his jeans were cuffed other down but I would have to come across the picture in my phone again to make sure. Peace be with you all. 🙏

The West Side Pirus should rename their set to recognize themselves better as a first Piru set ever. Something like Westside Original Blood Pirus (OBP), Gonzales Park Pirus (GPP) or Enterprise Park Pirus (EPP).

@StreetTV Alex this is G-Twin from Nella's, you need to interview Omar Bradley ex Mayor or Compton he's working on a documentary about the original West Side Piru's. I'm only 51 but from what I know original Piru's were not Bloods and that would explain why in L.A. there are only 3 Piru sets or Inglewood only having 2 Piru sets. The Piru's and Bloods ran with each other because they were both anti Crip. Omar has a lot of history and some of the same views about Piru's, that would be a great interview!

I move to San Diego in 75 & red bandanas were worn, b4 I left by early 76 returned to LA by 76, had my baby in Sept & war was so bad I don't think anyone was wearing their colors on Westside because that could have been a death wish and even a teen walking alone or in a group in a hood could draw fire from unknown people. Anyway by Feb of 77 I was living out of state. Sorry to put all this on here but I'm old now so I have to do a timeline for myself. 🤣🤣
Everybody was always told the Brims started Bloods in 1972 until AC did his interview…..You need individuals like Frog 🐸 and AC to tell the truth……The only West Side cats that kept it real on this subject was Bare Foot Pookie the Inglewood Family’s (Lil Ceasar and Sin Bad)……Piru Street Boys originated the red bandanna….. 72 was the beginning of bloodshed, I don't recall of hearing Brims called bloods until after 73. Around 74 but Brims remained Brims, VNg became VNg Brims but remained VNg. You had to pick a side: Red or Blue- It became known what side we were on by the color you wore.
