- I was asked to record a lockdown recital as part of the Orpheus Sinfonia Foundation Synergy concert series back in March. This is a little preview I thought would be nice to share of the last piece I chose to play by the Icelandic composer Ólafur Arnalds.
Volcanism
by Jónas Þorbjarnarson (1960-2012)
Translation by Bernard Scudder
We are the ever-changing earth
always taking shape
new maps immediately misleading
new upheavals
I was someone and then I met you. . .
people change each other
even cause eruptions within each other
for deep down we are kindled, determined
by all kinds of magmatic associations
and a mountain of love rises-
lifting the landscape of our lives
we are the ever-changing earth
It's lovely seeing an artist really getting lost in the music during a performance. That was beautiful! Hope you keep the vids coming they spark joy
Ah thanks so much Luca! Will try and post more when I have the time for sure :)

I cant find the right words so I am just gonna go on record with, "you are a badass musician."
This piece of music requires so much restraint and you nailed it.

Honestly it’s like you asked me who I’d want you to cover next, Olafur Arnalds is amazing and you thoroughly do him justice.

That was so beautiful. Hadn't yet seen just how accomplished you are. I'm falling in love with the harp at this point
Thank you!!! :)
This was stunning
Thank you!
Wow! We can't wait wait to check out the whole concert you linked in the description.
Btw, we think it's always nice when, at the end, you let the strings sustain and resonate, and you still have that focus and are affected by what you just played. Shows you're a true artist. Very nice as always, thank you for sharing!
Thank you so much for the nice comment, really grateful! And so nice to hear you are enjoying them! 🤗
Thank you for the beautiful music. Please consider interpreting the Hurrian Hymn no.6, the oldest transcribed song.
Thanks for the recommendation Nic!
Круто!
Спасибо
I'd love to see your take on a Bonobo track!
i really keep asking myself how you do that, its like you can convey a whole bunch of emotions just by playing this angelic instrument, i just don't get how anything could sound like this
Thank you so much Again!! ☺️ Hope you're keeping well
Yes. Yes. Please post more often.
Conestoga by Goldmund, or Sleeping Lotus by Joep Beving or September Song by Agnes Obelwould be amazing.
Thanks David! And thanks for the suggestions. :)
great : )
Thank you
Ahh you have such good taste in music! Such a beautiful cover! I'm not sure whether you take requests but may I suggest Summer Days by Kai Engel? I think it would sound magical on a harp.
Ah thanks so much for the recommendation , I will always try and take a listen ! :)
Bravo, good stuff. Can you please do dalur by Olafur next? Please?
Holy moly this is amazing. If you take recommendations, Ambre by Nils Frahm would be so great
Thanks so much! 😊
Yes. I came here to request the same thing!
Great stuff. Where can I hear you play live?
Incredible. Beautiful work again Tamara. (Nitpick: A little more bass. I can't tell for sure, maybe others could reply if they agree? The lower end could use some boost on future recordings? I can help by EQ'ing this and sending it back as an example. That would make it sound even sweeter on systems with a sub woofer.) Thanks for sharing!!
Thanks Danny
The harp is such a beautiful sounding instrument.
You play it wonderfully.
Is there any chance that you could cover Joanna Newsom's "En Gallop"?
Thank you! Oooh I love Joanna Newsom! I shall take a look :)
