I had one for over two months now. I found a useful tip from a fellow buyer on the indicator. You cancel your left (for example) indicator, by pushing and hold a bit the indicator to the same direction. So far, it has works wonder for me.
Great review, thanks for the content. I think I can live with plastic that feels like plastic for a $20k saving over any comparable competitor... Hadn't really consiidered GWM much until now. I'm keen for a test drive.
Bit of a negative incorrect review IMO. I’ve owned this for almost two months and can’t fault it. The blinker issue is an individual driver issue. The interior is great. I don’t have one complaint. I watched 20 other reviews before buying and this isn’t accurate…
I really like the Tank. It's just the software in the centre screen and the finish of some of the interior surfaces that is not on par with cars from other brands. Apart from that it's great, especially at that low price point.
Yeah, it's so obvious how the bigger review guys try to create doubts and negative feelings. It's going to be there downfall and shows what hores they are. Carsauce is one of the only unbiased Y.T car review channel I rate but given all this I am interested in a tank 300 even after owning a new 2016 Landcruiser Sahara so that's gotta say something.

As an owner of a tank 300 the indicator is a stupid design but you get used to it. The ELK is dangerous and needs to be fixed, yes can turn off everytime you start the car. It's not perfect by any means but for the price it is a great car
Not sure if I missed it but which model tank is this one? Petrol Lux or Ultra? Or hybrid? Also great review appreciate your time and effort! Helped me make my decision 😊
The indicator stalk thing you get used to and then it works perfectly. Lane assist was crap but a software update at first service has improved this issue to the point where it acceptable. Engine performance is fine. Braking performance is ok. No reliability issues after 12 months and 9,000km. Interior in my opinion way better than it's $50k price would suggest. My car fitted with Pirelli Scorpion ATR tyres from new. Would I recommend? Yeah!
Mate... this review is really prejudiced at certain places only. My observations, feedback and personal opinions. 1. You should have cleaned up the engine bay instead of complaining about it. Disappointed to see it that way! 2. The menus are not complicated at all... Anyone with very little practice should be able to access and use all functions. 3. No point mentioning other brands and cars if you are not doing a proper comparitive review. 4. Totally wrong about the indicator... You need more practice. Possibly more time required prior to a review video. I am driving a GWM for 1.5 years under all Aussie conditions. They are extremely reliable and currently the best value for money in our market. The Tank models are definitely wonderful and worth the money...
Thank you for your feedback and now please allow me to respond. 1. I did not look at the engine bay before shooting and usually the cars I review are cleaned as if they are about to be sold before I drive them. 2. I'm comparing the menus to the dozens of other cars I have reviewed from other manufacturers and my conclusion is that the GWM menus are not as easy to use as others. 3. I'm a one man band, doing this in addition to working full time and it is very difficualt for me to compare all the cars that each one competes with. 4. The indicator works in a way that I have never encountered with any other manufacturer. The Tank is a good car and great value for money, but there are just a few things that could be a little better and I'm sure will improve in future models.
I guess if you owned one, you'd get used to and learn the menu options (and there are plenty of youtube links) - a little bit of research would have cured the indicator quirks. A one week review always leaves me annoyed as it's basically a quick look at the vehicle and reviews often don't make a direct comparison regarding value for $$$ - a Jeep Wrangler for example is a heck of a lot more expensive than a Tank 300. My budget says Tank 300 and I'll learn the menu options !
True - a week (especially when you're working a regular job at the same time) is not a huge amount of time to get used to how everything works. I can only really compare it to the other cars I drive note how they differ. The fact is GWM products are just not quite as user friendly as other brands. They're a bit quirky. The Tank 300 is very good though and if you're not a die-hard Jeep fan, it will give you just as much fun for a lot less money. Thanks for watching!
You sort of lack a little knowledge on the model you drove. Firstly there isn’t a 120v outlet in rear. That’s only for the hybrid. Secondly the ambient lighting is static and colour changeable. Thirdly you cancel the indicators by lifting the stick in the same direction as the indicator that you currently have on at the time .. not the opposite

Ah okay. I'll try that next time I drive a GWM. Thanks for watching.

It’s a really good SUV. Do it!

This is a very fair review, I’ve watched them all.

What happened to your sneakers??
Nothing! What's wrong with them?

Matt, I have 120v outlet in mine and has 64 colours ambiance light that changes. I have tank 300 ultra.
Forgot to mention Mercedes M-Tex is faux leather.
UAZ on the nose. Not wrangler
I think this suv looks like a fake ford bronco. The new Santa Fe looks like a discovery, don't you think so? Cool video~! thank you for sharing
Your comment might make sense if the tank 300 hadn’t come out 18 mths before the bronco
You can't believe these people they get payment from other companies good review if they pay more from other companies 😅😅
Just for the record I do not receive payment from car companies to do reviews.
I can’t watch this with that stupid and unnecessary background music
Well that's a shame.
If you review an off-road vehicle, please make the effort to go off-road.
Thanks for the tip ;)
Your review is a waste off time mate , this car has been reviewed already dozens and dozens of times. Doesn’t add anything extra !
Sorry to make a waste off your time!
What a rude and unnecessary comment. The review is a different style to carsauce and carexpert. The realistic city driving was a helpful viewpoint.
TASH368 , welcome to the internet !
4wheel… Don’t worry mate , didn’t even watch it.
What’s next ? A review of a 1990 Ford Focus ?!?!
