PJ and the Craxfords pacers are good if you want to cram as many people on as possible and you don't care about your passengers (rural commuter lines etc)
My wife and I had our first anniversary at Corrour purely on the basis of this and the 'Choose Corrour' vlog. It is a remarkable place. Truly remarkable.
I love how you are blown away by our beautiful landscapes. My local station is Arrochar & Tarbet, and I never tire of the journey to Oban or Fort William. I get irritated when I look round the train and see so many folk with their noses in their phones / iPads / laptops and hardly notice what is passing by the window.
I can’t say how much pleasure this series brings me. I’ve watched them all several times over the years and yet the freshness and enthusiasm still shines through, thank you both for giving so much pleasure. I’ve got a week booked in Crianlarich this September, can’t wait!
Please can I have your life Geoff? Goofing around on trains, seeing the most wonderful parts of the UK, drinking tea and eating cake and all done with the charming and loyal company of the delightful Vicki Pipe - you've got it all!
The line that you are on is obviously one of the most scenic & beautiful railway lines in Europe probably. Outstanding natural beauty, you obviously got a lovely day for your train journey.
"Man with dog" at Rannoch. Amazing. I was there on a train for my stag do on February 2009. Said man with dog were the only passengers to alight at Rannoch into 3ft of snow. Dog promptly disappeared, and was seen jumping down the platform, completely buried with snow.
I love All The Stations! Me and my dad actually went to Falls of Cruachan by train, took the tour and we got in for free because we didn't use the car! It was a great tour and they encourage eco-friendly modes of transport. I'd highly recommend it! :D
Vicki reminds me of myself a little bit in that she has a good memory for songs and music. Both Geoff and Vicki are two of the most lovely people I have ever seen or listened to. They work together so well.
The best train inspired videos I have ever seen. You've inspired me to get back to old blighty next June to retrace some of the train trips you two legends have presented. Imagine if you could repeat this masterpiece on the heritage lines. The world would beat a path to your door. All I want for Xmas is a dvd of the series.
Like most I have watched the whole journey but I have never felt emotional as I have this one. Stunning closing scenes. Corrour, nay Scotland Tourist Board should simply pay for all the journey because is people are not inspired by this video to get out there nothing will. And as for the signal box living room. ... Stunning.
Amazing. I've watched every second of every episode and interviews etc... but I actually found myself shedding a tear when Geoff was in the signal box... the views were just exceptional and you could actually feel what Geoff was. The ultimate tick. Amazing work guys. Can it get any better?
It was all down to this that me and my wife just spent our silver wedding anniversary on 10th Sep at Corrour. We was in the room opposite to where Geoff and Vicky stayed. There is only one word to describe it - AMAZING! If you have an interest in railways or just like something to do out of the ordinary then this is an absolute must. The staff who run the place are so friendly and hospitable and the food is plentiful and excellent quality. Even though it was a VERY stormy night when we stayed, it added to the magic in a way and you get the chance to really see the 'black of night' like nowhere else. I hope to return again one day
Well, your best video so far is also about Britain's best station - the one that's a 16km walk from the nearest public road. Congratulations Vicki, Geoff and Will for sublimely capturing the brilliance of Corrour!
Some staggeringly beautiful places on this video. Having said that, Britain seems to have quite a few of those, although Wales and Scotland have a good concentration.
What amazes me is the number of Londoners who can't believe how beautiful the countryside is. It's like they've never really been outside the M25. There is a whole country out there, not everywhere has crowds of people and a Starbucks on every corner.
One of the most amazing things about Corrour is that it's one of the few remote regions where taking a train is the only option. It literally has no road connection. Apparently even the station house adjusts their opening hours depending on the train schedule!
Just Beautiful..And the Silence, the roaring silence, is what I remember from Corrour and the hills around. Bothies are spread across much of the Scottish Highlands & Islands, many are privately owned by climbers and walkers clubs. I too shed a tear with this fabulous episode..nearly the end, and isn't the signal box a fab place to stay! A
So glad you had such a great experience. It's a fabulous part of the world and you've shown it off so well. ☺️ Can't wait for the next leg to Mallaig and Skye!
In 2001, in the aftermath of the Hatfield rail crash AND in the middle of a national foot and mouth disease outbreak, there were no direct sleeper services for a while to Inverness via Fort William. On a seriously needed de-stressing trip, I took a sleeper from Euston to Glasgow Central which ran late so I couldn't get the Queen Street to Fort William connection. Scot Rail laid on a Glasgow city black cab for me on my own (yes, really!) all the way to Fort William. I therefore got the best of both worlds - the road trip up through Glencoe and the return rail trip further East through Corrour. Like you said, nothing short of stunning ... both ways.
a stunning video. It also , I think, captures everything you two represent; passion love and appreciation not only for the rails and their history, but these beautiful places and the people . You have given me a long list of places I must see and I think my next trip to "London" will only be a passage to take, perhaps, two long journey trips trains to Wales and Scotland. there is something to say for a journey where there is no WiFI any of the Gs etc. There is bliss in simplicity and peace
Wonderful. Watching this is almost better than going on a holiday oneself. Your enthusiasm makes me want to go there and walk around in the rain! As for that loft in the signal box, hope you enjoyed it because you've earned it.
This station just made my ultimate Bucket List. I NEED to stay here at some point in my life 😃 both for the accommodations, and the Trainspotting location.
This is the first (and probably only) video in the series where I can say I have been to every station. Crianlarich is an incredibly nice little town. I spent a night there when I was on a train trip around Scotland myself.
I've been looking forward to this one for a while now. My wife and I made it out to Oban (by car, unfortunately) about two years ago, and loved the scenery as we wound our way around Loch Lomond. Toured the power station on our way out. The proximity of the line to the motorway fascinated me (as did the town itself). Thanks for the nostalgia trip!
I went hiking for a few days in the Western Highlands about three weeks ago, and the trip included the Glasgow Queen Street -> Fort William line and the Kyle of Lochalsh -> Inverness line. Kept thinking there was a chance I might spot Geoff & Vicki in the wild, but unfortunately I had to settle for the otter I saw from the train window as we were going along the edge of Loch Carron.
Just incredible. That scenery is really nice. As good if not better than a few places here in New Zealand. When I come over I'm DEFINITELY going to stay there 😃
I'm pretty sure the boulder warning wires in the Pass of Brander have been there for years - but boulders at speed can jump! On my last visit I went round the underground power station and then stopped the train at Falls of Cruachan by hand signal. Great fun.
Well done guys, this is a phenomenal video, you've really done it justice. This is now one of my favourite videos of yours and of all time. Editing, drone, artistic direction, music - all done to perfection. Good on you.
right hand running at some stations, its all to do with spring loaded points, as the train crawls over them ,the wheels of the train push the point across to the correct position and then when the train is over the point, the point will spring back again
the two Tyndrum stations were Upper Tyndrum and Lower Tyndrum, but when R.E.T.B system was introduced Upper Tyndrum was renamed Tyndrum Upper so when block tokens and conversations between drivers and signallers were taken place the two stations were not mixed up
Jeff & Vicki, two questions for you: 1. Will you please consider publishing your itinerary (include lodging) for those of us who would like to attempt part or all of this incredible adventure? 2. Have you had any bad/unpleasant surprises during your All The Stations adventure? Cheers, JJ
Took a 3 week trip to the highlands in July of this year, spent 4 days walking, camping and kayaking and It all started at Corrour Station. Such a strange feeling watching that training pull away from the platform and then being alone in the middle of no where. Highly recommend a trip to Corrour!
Excellent video again! The two people headed to the bothy were on our train back the next day! They were soaked through but obviously survived their trip!
Love, love LOVE this video. I remember with great fondness my day trip to Corrour almost exactly 7 years ago - walking down to the shoreline of the stunning Loch Treig, dinner in the Station House Restaurant and then the late train back to where I was staying down the line at Spean Bridge. Beautiful.
Vicky & Geoff seriously need to take a proper holiday of say a week enjoying the sights & sounds of places like Oban at their own leisure without having to rush for any trains.
Choose life, choose a Pacer, choose Shippea Hill, choose a Sprinter, choose the Isle of Wight, choose a Class 700, choose All The Stations.
Yep, that little tribute to "Trainspotting" at the end was brilliant.
1,000 years from now there will be no Pacers and no Sprinters, just Turbostars. Sounds great to me.
radarskiy Sprinters are alright. Pacers are crap though
PJ and the Craxfords pacers are good if you want to cram as many people on as possible and you don't care about your passengers (rural commuter lines etc)
Probably the geekiest Trainspotting reference ever. I have liked it though. Why else would I be here?
This RUclips channel probably holds the distinction of being the only one where I've watched every single video.
Ian Anthony Same
Jack Jack Productions Yes, me too. Don't know WHAT I'm going to do when they finish 🙁😔
I'm getting there... And I'm not that into trains...
I can say that for several other channels.
I have also watched all the videos. Some of them, I have watched more than once.
"It's raining, there's a tearoom, there's a man with a dog, it's delightful!" - the Highlands in a nutshell.
Ok
"Theres burning heather"
My wife and I had our first anniversary at Corrour purely on the basis of this and the 'Choose Corrour' vlog.
It is a remarkable place. Truly remarkable.
Fun fact: Tyndrum is the smallest town/village in Scotland (and Britain, I'm almost certain) with more than one railway station.
Also Fun Fact: The lower station is called Tyndrum Lower. The highest Upper Tyndrum. The lower put below Tyndrum and the upper above.
It has also the highest number of stations per 100'000 inhabitants: 1198
Meanwhile Corrour is the highest station in the UK!
There would have been complaints if there wasn't a wee tribute to Trainspotting at Corrour...
I can’t say how much pleasure this series brings me. I’ve watched them all several times over the years and yet the freshness and enthusiasm still shines through, thank you both for giving so much pleasure. I’ve got a week booked in Crianlarich this September, can’t wait!
I genuinely believe Scotland is one of the most beautiful countries in the world. Such amazing scenery. And the people are pretty friendly too!
Please can I have your life Geoff? Goofing around on trains, seeing the most wonderful parts of the UK, drinking tea and eating cake and all done with the charming and loyal company of the delightful Vicki Pipe - you've got it all!
That door in Oban needs oil
Indeed
The line that you are on is obviously one of the most scenic & beautiful railway lines in Europe probably.

They work together so well.
Best. Episode. Ever.
Without a doubt the best vlog so far!!!!
Agreed and Geoff's reaction to his room and snug is fantastic... His emotion and joy flows through.
Beautiful. I saw many of these views from the London to Fort William sleeper, but it’s great to have them here to watch whenever I need a reminder.
Stunning.
The best train inspired videos I have ever seen.
You've inspired me to get back to old blighty next June to retrace some of the train trips you two legends have presented.

The world would beat a path to your door.
All I want for Xmas is a dvd of the series.
there are not enough words to decribe the wondefullness of this video. Truly amazing doesnt even come close!!!!
I already miss you and your fun videos. Not fair.
Quite possibly the best episode in this vlog!
Great fun followed all episode hard job to here in New Zealand !! Cheers Pete
Geoff, you were getting a bit emotional in that cabin of the old signal box....must admit it does look stunning.
Local Fella Geoff probably would have proposed there... If he and Vicki weren't already betrothed! :)
John Smith Quite!
@@roundel52 lol

totally agree. Oban and then this high place with rambling = a holiday in my future
Amazing. I've watched every second of every episode and interviews etc... but I actually found myself shedding a tear when Geoff was in the signal box... the views were just exceptional and you could actually feel what Geoff was. The ultimate tick. Amazing work guys. Can it get any better?
Magnifique .
Awe!! You have really inspired me!! I really want to do something like this when I am older!
my great grandfather, Sir Edward McColl, was the hydro engineer that designed Cruachan power station (also Pitlochry) :)
One of the most enjoyable videos in the series, so far.
FP4 Man yep
Yeah, you are right. The views from that signal box at Corrour are, spectacular. Brilliant. Absolutely stunning.
It was all down to this that me and my wife just spent our silver wedding anniversary on 10th Sep at Corrour. We was in the room opposite to where Geoff and Vicky stayed.

Scotland is so beautiful...
Brilliant (!!) Best Ever - Resounding Beauty of Scotland Captured by Visual Artisans -- Bravo
Some staggeringly beautiful places on this video. Having said that, Britain seems to have quite a few of those, although Wales and Scotland have a good concentration.
great videos.
Not quite a Premier Inn, but I suppose it'll do for the night.
What amazes me is the number of Londoners who can't believe how beautiful the countryside is. It's like they've never really been outside the M25. There is a whole country out there, not everywhere has crowds of people and a Starbucks on every corner.

The drone videos are astounding, and I really like that signal box. The views would choke me up, too. Well done!
So glad you had such a great experience. It's a fabulous part of the world and you've shown it off so well. ☺️ Can't wait for the next leg to Mallaig and Skye!
I love the music that accompanies all the drone footage in all the vid episodes. perfection
i come from scenic Alberta, these views here are awesom!
In 2001, in the aftermath of the Hatfield rail crash AND in the middle of a national foot and mouth disease outbreak, there were no direct sleeper services for a while to Inverness via Fort William. Just has to be the best in the series so far. The views are absolutely amazing. (And I'm from New Zealand where amazing views are a dime a dozen)!
Wonderful. Watching this is almost better than going on a holiday oneself. Your enthusiasm makes me want to go there and walk around in the rain! As for that loft in the signal box, hope you enjoyed it because you've earned it.
Not sure about the rain (although you should always come prepared for it, of course), but definitely do! It's gorgeous in the Highlands.
Wowowowowowowowowow! This is why we all love All The Stations!
Beautiful ending to this episode.
If I can ever look half as happy and enthusiastic as Geoff and Vikki do at 10:51 over something as simple I'll be a happy man
Great video once again
Cheers Slippery
Well done guys :)
Corrour looks even better in winter, when the sun is shining and there is snow on the ground...
Choose Life....nice Trainspotting homage. Best wishes from NZ
I think we might have seen Geoff shed a tear then. Vicki was certainly in floods behind the camera.
Excellent video..
I've been looking forward to this one for a while now. My wife and I made it out to Oban (by car, unfortunately) about two years ago, and loved the scenery as we wound our way around Loch Lomond. Nicely subtle Trainspotting references!

Guys your best video to date! I want me some time in that signal box! Well done!
Just incredible. That scenery is really nice. As good if not better than a few places here in New Zealand.
When I come over I'm DEFINITELY going to stay there 😃
That's it! I simply must visit Corrour. It's absolutely stunning!
What a spectacular setting.
I'm pretty sure the boulder warning wires in the Pass of Brander have been there for years - but boulders at speed can jump! On my last visit I went round the underground power station and then stopped the train at Falls of Cruachan by hand signal. Great fun.
Arguably the best part of the trip, this and the next bit??? I've done the West Highland Line a few times, keep gping back for more!!
Well done guys, this is a phenomenal video, you've really done it justice. This is now one of my favourite videos of yours and of all time. Editing, drone, artistic direction, music - all done to perfection. Good on you.

Thought Geoff was going to cry in the signal box. Good to still be enjoying the experience after so many days into their travels.
wow!!! that signal box where you can stay is awesome and the snug above even better
Fantastic video Geoff- I love the view of Beinn na Lap in the background in the scene where you're sitting down drinking water.
the two Tyndrum stations were Upper Tyndrum and Lower Tyndrum, but when R.E.T.B system was introduced Upper Tyndrum was renamed Tyndrum Upper so when block tokens and conversations between drivers and signallers were taken place the two stations were not mixed up
Hello There, this is a great video which has a very scenic route, thank you for sharing this, it's much appreciated. Cheers Peter :)
My favourite episode.. The Trainspotting homage is awesome..
Jeff & Vicki, two questions for you:
1. Will you please consider publishing your itinerary (include lodging) for those of us who would like to attempt part or all of this incredible adventure?
2. Have you had any bad/unpleasant surprises during your All The Stations adventure?
Cheers,

All that needs to be said is...WOW
Brilliant guys. Always wanted to go to Corrour. Defo gonna go there soon. Loved the Trainspotting bit 👍👍
Great nod to Trainspotting guys. What a beautiful place 😃
Between the interactions with passers-by, the camerawork and the music, this is becoming increasingly Palinesque (and I mean that as a compliment).
Wow just wow! I want to stay in that hotel! Great shots guys the footage is looking incredible
Took a 3 week trip to the highlands in July of this year, spent 4 days walking, camping and kayaking and It all started at Corrour Station. Such a strange feeling watching that training pull away from the platform and then being alone in the middle of no where. Highly recommend a trip to Corrour!
Wow. Congratulations!!!
Drone shots are awesome!
Superb work. It's great when professionalism meets superior content. A real treat!
Excellent video again! The two people headed to the bothy were on our train back the next day! They were soaked through but obviously survived their trip!
I think one of the best episodes to date.
Love, love LOVE this video. I remember with great fondness my day trip to Corrour almost exactly 7 years ago - walking down to the shoreline of the stunning Loch Treig, dinner in the Station House Restaurant and then the late train back to where I was staying down the line at Spean Bridge. OMG! Corrour House is going on my bucket list!
Fantastic Trainspotting homage!
Probably my favourite video so far. This is so great.
...looks like a cross between NY & Cascadia! Beautiful :]
I'm so far behind but the good thing is All The Stations hasn't come to an end for me 😉 will have to visit Corrour so beautiful.
Vicky & Geoff seriously need to take a proper holiday of say a week enjoying the sights & sounds of places like Oban at their own leisure without having to rush for any trains.
The one I've been waiting for since the start - did this journey 7 years ago and it was nothing less than stunning! Great episode!
Thank you both, another excellent entertaining and beautiful video. A ray of sunshine.
okay i really must visit Scotland again! stunning even in the rain.
Fantastic!
Great storytelling, great sights, great editing.
Awesome doesn't begin to cover it really......... Probably my favourite of the whole series 😀
