    Ive just installed Fleor vintage alnico 5 in Echo tele instead of original ceramics. It sounds for me better, especially neck pickup. It has clearer and louder sound, light overdriven but well sounds in chords, and much better low tones.

    It makes me really happy to see people like you making demos of lesser known pickup brands.
    There's a lot of things that make a good pickup, winding pattern, magnet type, wire guage, how tight it's wound and how many times etcetera, and I think that overwhelmingly huge range of options becomes hypnotizing to some players.
    We get so obsessed with having a pickup master built by Jason Lollar that we forget how easy it is to manufacture a simple but great sounding pickup for cheap in this day and age.
    Remember that the first guitar pickups were being wound in the 1930's, we hadn't even been to the moon yet and now your fridge can browse Twitter and tell you when your milk has spoiled, unfortunately it can't tell you how spoiled we are for cheap aftermarket guitar parts right now.

    Fleor pickups rock! I picked up a set for an unbranded telecaster clone I picked up off ebay. Best 20 bucks I ever spent. Upgraded the pickups and electronics in the control panel cavity and what a change! Sounds like a "real" telecaster, for super cheap.

    I really like the Fleur pups. Very rich and focused. Very earthy tone. Sounds semi microphonic, but I actually like that

    Good video. I bought a $150 Harley Benton to do some moding recently and I also used the Fleor pickups in it They worked really good and they basically played exactly as you described on your guitar.

    A year or so ago I put a Fleor pickup in an '89 Korean P Bass whose original pickup was giving me headaches. It was $18 bucks or something, and it sounds great. Provided your guitar has a top-notch setup (learn to do your own!), the pickups on a $100 pawn shop Affinity Strat are going to sound terrific. As far as I'm concerned pricey pickups are a racket! No one, and I mean NO ONE, would be able to pick out expensive vs inexpensive pickups on a recording.

    I put Fleor alnico 5 pickups in my Squier Affinity Strat and my God it was quite the upgrade, the sound is amazing and I'm blown away with the value. I have an Indio TL style guitar with stock ceramic pickups, which have an actual nice sound overall... It's just they only sound a bit like Tele pickups, so thinking of buying Fleor again! I think your video just convinced me of doing so 🤔

    I have changed the humbuckers for a set of Fleor humbuckers though a Peavey Bandit 112 and it has hit the sweat spot (if it exists) on the amp, there is a powerful distinct unmistakable difference unlike some of the high priced pups available with fancy names.

    Your Amazon link is for the ceramic version, but you mention the Alnico pickups that are a different listing. They sure sound a hell of a lot better than those stock pickups. Might have to pick up a set for my Bullet Tele.

    I am interested in a Tele for that "spank" sound you mention in your summary. But I didn't hear it mu ch in either pick up set in the sound section. Do the FLEORs have a spank to them? If not I'll look elsewhere. Gracias por contestar. Salud des de BCN!

    • @sergioserramusic
      @sergioserramusic  Год назад +1

      well I do find the spank, of course it's still an affordable set of pickups on an affordable guitar, i bet a Fender or Lollar set would sound better. They are a 100% better than stock ones tho

    Hola sergio! buen vídeo :D supongo que para quitar el logo has lijado todo lo anterior y luego rebarnizado con el nuevo. Le has dado algun tinte para que quede ese color "anaranjado"? Un saludo y gracias por el vídeo :)

    • @sergioserramusic
      @sergioserramusic  15 дней назад +1

      Hi! No there was no logo on the guitar, it’s a Harley Benton kit that had a rough headstock, so I shaped it and put a decal on (I don’t want to make fakes so the guitar is the “Sergcaster” model 😂)
      I have a video on the making of that guitar, check it out if you want, there are the details of the build and the lacquer I used :)

    Well, they simply have learnt to do things right. An electromagnetic pickup is almost paleolithic technology, not rocket science. Current induction through a moving magnet on a bobbin was one the first electromagnetic discovered phenomens.
