It is kind of amazing that every time that we listen to him he blows our mind. In the video, where that handsome man pumped his fist up to the ceiling, was Dimash's very proud father. He was in a singing competition, and this was Dimash's debut to the world on the show basically. Father and Son share a proud hug that occur towards the end of the video, if you want to check that out.

His 2 parents that had been training themselves, and Dimash, for a moment like this moment. Dimash dang his SOS on that show too, and it blew everybody's mind as well. He came in second because it was a Chinese show and and Dimash was from Kazakhstan, and there's some rule or Chinese ego involved that Dimash couldn't be voted number one in that competition. But he did come in second place and in first place in all our hearts. Lol.
SOS is one of my favorites by Dimash! It is the first song I heard him sing and fell in love with him and his beautiful, incredible voice instantly! I've never looked back after all these years!! I've been a DEAR since 2014!

It's too bad you didn't watch the extended version. You would have seen the surprise that his father (the man who fist bumped at the end) gave to him. Dimash didn't think they would make it to China and his father flew in from Kazakhstan and surprised him and the beautiful moment between them was so heartwarming. Vitas acted like a jealous baby and his manager contacted Dimash' team and told them he could not sing that song again, and only because Dimash made it ten times better. I had watched Vitas sing it before and didn't like him or the song because he sounds like a dolphin, plus he doesn't have the charisma and performance ability that our Beloved Dimash does.
With Dimash you need to watch before and after he sings.
In this one you missed him seeing his father, who had come to support Dimash, who was very young and knew no-one, didn't speak Chinese or know the culture. The look on his face when he sees his father is priceless.
Please don't just play the song, watch everything! He is not a singing machine. You will find out what an amazing performer, and person,he is as you follow his progress.

This is a cover from Vitas. His lawyers couldn't stop Dimash from performing it in China. Dimash made it his own and better and proving he could go 2 key changes higher

Comme il le dit; "ce n'est pas la hauteur des notes qui importe, c'est ce que je veux transmettre à mes Dears" (et le reste du Monde). PS: Vitas, who originally sang the song Opera 2, banned Dimash to sing this piece. Because… If you listen to Vitas’ version, you’re gonna get the reason.

DIMASH doesn't need auto-tune as he can do it better without it unlike the original artist, as well as doing it more times and elevating the level.
You won't ever hear Dimash sing this song again - the original artist forbid him from ever doing it again as he did it much better than the original.

Vitas was the original artist. I Am Singer, the show, screwed everyone by not getting permission to use their works. Lionel Richie stopped Dimash from doing Hello after that, and Dimash' version was far better.

Главное - его непревзойденное исполнение, артистизм и просто сумасшедшее сценическое присутствие. Кстати, он сделал больше модуляций, поднимаясь вверх, чем сам Витас, да ещё добавил стоккато. Он стал победителем в этом втором конкурсном дне. А перед этим тоже победил в 1-ый конкурсный день с песне SOS. Посмотрите его другие выступления с этого конкурса :Alll bay myself, Show must go on, Autumn strong, Hello, Незабываемый день (музыка написана им). Dimash effortlessly took it higher modulating an amazing three key changes of Head voice C6, C#6, D6(stacatto), Eb6. The artist you heard singing Opera 2 could have been Ukrainian/Russian singer Vitas.
Enjoying your Dimash reactions - he’s been my daily addiction since I discovered him years ago - he’s spoilt me for most other singers.
In the interest of expanding your foreign music horizons here are two Chinese singers I discovered via my Dimash journey. Both are big stars in China and are unique, out of the norm singers with amazing voices and captivating, mesmerising stage presence. They may not be your cup of tea but their talent is undeniable. I hope you react to them. Also interesting to see Chinese music shows - always first class productions.

Dimash es único , los envidiosos , celosos de que él este en la categoría exelencia , sin rival para llegar a su alcance vocal , se ofendieron , ya sabemos que paso... The high notes are supposed to represent the howling wind but Vitas did his original performance like steps of notes, not smooth like Dimash or as high.
A few years after this cover by Dimash, I saw a Vitas performance where he changed his version to become smooth like Dimash did🤭😂😂😂
The other famous cover that I believe is so much better than the original is Dimash's cover of "Hello" by Lional Ritchie.

Somehow you guys never seem to comprehend what Dimash offers; akin to if I were to analyze an xra for osteosarcoma...But kudos to you both stepping out of your comfirt zones to do something youre not yet good at. Dimash constantly amazes!
Yes. All his poor fellow competitors out the back - losing their minds! You cut if off a little early. Unbeknownst to Dimash his Dad had flown in from Kazahstan and was 'hiding' in the audience, so as not to distract him during the performance. You can see him there at the end doing a triumphant 'fist-pump'! Dimash's face was 'something' when he came forward spotted him. Due to his success in the program he'd stayed alone in China for some months and was very homesick. There is a jaw-drop (for me!) moment when they walk together back stage and Dimash asks his father; "Did I sing well?" 😵💫🤨
And both parents of Dimash performing.

If you turn on the captions, you'll know what the song is about. Dimash sang this song so much better than Vitas the original artist. Vitas was not happy at all.
Vitas was not pleased with Dimash’s performance, he took the song higher than Vitas himself could, two extra steps higher. I have heard one live performance of this from Vitas, not close to this performance.
