Thank you for these Ruby videos, they are wonderful! There's just something relaxing about seeing a dog walking around, exploring, just being a doggy. And Ruby is so lucky to have such a great owner, going out on so many walking adventures instead of being stuck in the yard all day. You're awesome! I do have a question, I'm sure you've answered this before but what breed is Ruby? I'm looking for a dog and she seems like the perfect size and temperament, she's beautiful. Anything you can tell me about Ruby is appreciated, thanks. Give Ruby her scratchies for me!
Thank you for watching! Glad you enjoyed them! I'm a Red Heeler, also known as an Australian Cattle Dog (not to be confused with the Australian Shepard), or a Blue Heeler. All the same breed. We come in red, like me, or blue. Heeler puppies are born all white and then turn red or blue after a few weeks! They are very energetic and need PLENTY OF DAILY EXERCISE and things to keep them busy mentally and physically as they have lots of energy and are very smart! They are bred to work on farms so they need a job and/or lots of things to do or the may become bored and frustrated and eventually unruly. So yeah, locked in a yard or just walks around the block won't work for a Cattle Dog. If you ever see a list of the smartest breeds usually the ACD will be one of them! Very healthy too! The oldest dog to ever live was a Blue Heeler named Bluey that lived 29.5 years! WARNING They shed a lot! Hope this helps, Thanks again!
@@WalkWithRuby This is really good info. I could tell Ruby is a very active dog and not one for just the backyard, those legs could climb a mountain. I also know about those hairy breeds, I had a german shepherd so we all know about the hair fluffs! I wish you and Ruby a long healthy life, thank you so much for replying and for sharing your walks with us!
Great sharing. You give me a peaceful walking trip with Ruby.

🧡Thank you!!✌️🐕
Nice walk Ruby! I love the Greenlake area. I used to live near there. And great camerawork too. On the big screen it feels like you’re in the pack! 🐕🦮
Thanks!!
