Friggin love Charley and he puts on a great show. I’ve seen him live three times but there’s something I always notice… Some of the most disrespectful people in the crowds. The type that are only there to get drunk and hook up. Unfortunately that’s what you get with a lot of live country music for some reason. And while I don’t consider Charley to be your typical country artist (he’s far superior IMO), he still gets these crowds. Just shut up and enjoy the music!

Yeah...people think they'll have fun when they're drunk. Why did they go to a concert then? Isn't that supposed to be fun? And then they drive home. That is why going to concerts can be almost dangerous. If they thinking drinking till drunk is fun, they can do that at home. Going to a concert drunk-stupid idiots they are. I would love to see one of his concerts.

Ok so I saw Charley at the legendary Floore’s store near San Antonio
4/30/24 and there were plenty of hoots and hollers during “good hearted woman”, and after the song Charley said “I prefer playing small joints like this one”.
I don’t think he minds the hoots and hollers and not sure where you would get the idea he doesn’t like them.

Same experience in Oklahoma City! I was so excited to see Colter after he cancelled his tour due to the pandemic a few years before. The crowd was nothing but frat bros & basic beckys taking selfies, going back & forth to the bar, laughing amongst themselves, someone started doing weird tiktok dances on the upper balcony (thankfully they kicked him out but not before causing a huge distraction & taking attention away from Colter). I dont think anyone paid attention to Vincent unfortunately because he was awesome. Left that concert so disappointed for both bands.

Doors opened at like 7:30 and Charley didn't come on till like 10:30, and the openers that performed in those 3 hours were making everyone's ears bleed. The lines to the drink stands were understandably out the door.

Which we were all unsure about cause charley is sooooo not a Nashville guy. Unless the patron was referring to the song music city USA like agreeing with Charley or something. Either way they were loud during the intimate acoustic part of the set and totally threw him off. Charley always bring the band back up so this was a rare sight to see.

He could have just played through the song he intended to play - but even he understands that "encores" are an artificial (and often contracted) practice with the sole purpose to hype up the audience and please fans. If he wasn't playing something that did that, that's on him. In essence - whether we like it or not he "is their puppet". That is the music industry, and that (along with his "outsider persona") is the only way he can survive doing what he does.
