    Good insight, jakko. I'll have to add some zippy ties to the back pack.

    Your the number 1 cod fisher man in my books very disappointed in how the rivers are at the moment tho very flooded down in vic where I’m am it’s been raining for the last week and going to rain all next week aswell so won’t be able to fish for a long time by the looks of it

      I'm a bit more glass half full - it was bloody dry and it's good to see a bit of rain even if it makes opening more difficult

      @JobeCurrie 12 дней назад +1

      @ in the last 4 months it flooded 3 time where I’m from so almost floods 1 a month

    Good vid mate. Took Monday Tuesday off work to fish but we’ve has over 80mm in 36hours in southern nsw so I might just go to work and save those days of leave for when I can actually go fish 😂

    Good chat jakko. Hopefully the trend you are trying to start of rolling up your tshirt sleeves takes off
    Also I agree casting a 7.5 meter swim bait rod would be abit of a hassle..

    The amount of cod in Windy at the moment is ridiculous. The ratio has really flipped. Had to really chase the Goldens last week.
    Cod hitting yella lures all day - one wonders how I would have gone with the big stuff, but I was still a few days pre-season.
    Love to see you up there one day, mate.

    • @JakkoDavis
      @JakkoDavis  12 дней назад +1

      Yea crazy amount ay, caught a heap there in the autumn when yella fishing. Must have been a really successfully stocking season a few years back

    • @jimmymack1079
      @jimmymack1079 12 дней назад

      In a few more years it might be the new Copeton. Bit sad in a way, as I don’t see too many of the classic monster yellas any more. Most around mid fifties or less. Seems like the days of the mid sixties are waning.

    Are there any spots (general areas) near ACT worth checking out for cod fishing? Somewhere I could get out with my 11 yo, relatively easily.. we are total beginners, recently moved to Canberra. Cheers & tight lines!

    • @JakkoDavis
      @JakkoDavis  11 дней назад

      Not my area mate sorry but anywhere along the Murrumbidgee river would be a good place to start. That system holds cod right through it
