  • Join Dee & Ant as we explore the central GRR and surrounds. In this episode, we visit our two favourite gorges on the Gibb- Manning and Galvans. These beauties are on either side of Mt Barnett Roadhouse and are visually the most stunning spots. Both sites have hidden indigenous artworks from thousands of years ago. After an epic hike into Manning Falls, that includes swimming across a cold river, we spent the day just soaking in the absolute beauty of this place. We then set course for Mount Elizabeth Station. This awesome active cattle farm is owned by the Burton Family and offers something very different on the GRR. We even got to sit and have dinner with the owners and learn more about the current state of the Kimberley and what their plans are to keep this place family owned. We venture to Warla Gorge after catching up with some very old friends and after a lost tyre, a few beers and a challenging 4x4 in/out, we had a great day. Check out the beautiful photography throughout this video!
In this video, Ant cooks up a storm using products from our friends at ‪@LastingHarvest‬ . A very special episode indeed. Half way thru the episode I was thinking about the indigenous people and what they would think about their land being a tourist destination and then at the end of your episode, I'm now questioning whether I should basically avoid the tourist crowds and enjoy these station stays.

It's nice to respect their art but that is a 2 way street and I've travelled extensively in our country to know that is a one way street, the indigenous dont think much of us at all, you can tell by the 53% of land claims and locking people out of places we have been allowed to visit for years, but enjoy your trip while you can access those places, anyway good vid you two keep travelling, cheers 👍

Another enjoyable episode with good quality content, the flat tyre and having only one spare makes me nervous. So good to learn that Australians are buying back properties that should never have been sold to foreign companies/ investors. There is another situation like this in Tassie, where the locals are funding another buy back from China.. those politicians of ours sold us out long ago, and bloody Morrison sold off the “farm” ( a lot of Corporations) during his tenure, but we know there all as tarnished as one another.. Andrews sold off 20% of Victorian Maritime Port to China, the largest import export Port of Australia, and Palaszczuk was no better in QLD allowing dodgy deals. Sorry for the rant.. love our Country so much and you show it off so beautifully.
