Wow. Love it. With a little tlc you'll have it really sorted. It's a rare car, definitely a keeper.

Last year I bought a 19000 mile one owner Sporting, with, wait for this....a knob that goes all the way. An original sunroof cover. That had never been opened. The original spare dust cap and Allen keys still in the ashtray. Spare wheel and still wrapped Jack in the boot. And some original transit plastic still in place, which I'm extremely protective of as people get in the passenger side. The original plan was to keep it for a year as I have a classic Alfa, and find a Panda 100hp, but I have fallen madly in love with Little Ferrari. I'm planning a Sportex exhaust and K & N filter. Steel grey and not a rattle or drip of oil or water in a year

My son had 1 exactly the same even with the electric wabasto factory fitted sunroof but his was the sporting version not the abarth, I even resprayed his alloys black Coz he didn't like the silver colour, it had a very low 21,000 miles on the clock when we originally bought it for £775, it was in vgc, he had it for about 3 years as his first car and only changed the tdc sensor which is common to play up in that time so very reliably, he needed a bigger car so now has my punto sporting 6 speed which has way more power Coz I bought a 595 competition 500 abarth, so we're both Happy 😊 now 👍🇮🇹

The heater issue: The heater knob pushes a piano wire through a brake cable type outer sheath. This sheath is held by a metal clip in the far end near the valve. When this clip gets loose by ageing plastic and rust. The sheath moves counter to the piano wire and diminishes the effect of turning the heater knob. The solution is to reinforce the anchor point with a quality zip-tie. But you have to take the cardboard heater blower assembly apart to reach it.

My heater knob does the same thing, I have the abarth. My dad's Strada Abarth 130TC used to do the same thing he said. Apparently its cable operated

You have a new subscriber :) I'm from Poland and I have Seicento 1.1 MPI too. It is mix of Sporting and Abarth (exterior and interior), with black roof just like your new red one :D I love it and I am planning to do sth with performance, just a little bit; tuning, swap from Punto or sth different... I do not really know. Let me know if you want. I'll enjoy any tip from you, guys

You’re owning a really rare version from Seicento! That sunroof is so nice and you’re really lucky because normally it never works lol
I only had Fiat’s since I have lessons!
Just love that little cars, specially the Cinquecento ( that I own 1 at the moment ) but I had some Seicento’s before and they’re really nice and easy to drive.
Will you keep that one or you pretend to sell it in the Future? I’m from Portugal!!! 🇵🇹

The heater not switching to hot means the head is going to go bang. I'm joking but that's what mine did. I've only been offered £75 to scrap it. Could you do a video on commonly replaced parts? Or which parts to keep before I scrap it? Just a suggestion if you were looking for ideas.

    • @MillerCorner

Btw I'd look into just changing the reverse gear because a whole box will cost way too much for such a simple fix. I imagine the clunking is a tooth that's ever so slightly bent or worn out

Very cool! Loving the sunroof on that red model! You sure you don't want to keep the red one for yourself? :P
As for the dashcam, that seems a bit elaborate for a temporary setup! I let the wire drop straight down on my dashcam mount to make things easier when I have to move the camera between cars - a handy binder clip on a climate control vent keeps the wire from getting in your way and from moving around as you turn, etc, and also keeps it out of the passenger's way as well! Check it out:

I was actually having a discussion with a friend about this video yesterday and he said "The red car has better kit and is rarer....why doesn't he keep that one?' and I said 'Nostalgia'. :)
