I was watching this because I was wishing Mattel would bring this Teela to the Masterverse New Eternia line. That isn’t to say I wouldn’t love a classic New Eternia Teela, I just want both and think the more modern articulation would make her be a fantastic figure.
Just ordered mine today! Woo hoo!
I grabbed this figure for only 10.00 on Mattycollector on their Black Friday sale last week.
cool looking figure, I want them to rerelease the regular Teela cause I missed her the first time!
I loved her comic-book look more than the cartoon one; she was alot more femme fatale and awesome there. :) Remember reading that issue you displayed there back then; wish I remember what that episode was called, as would like to buy it.
Wizzrobotix It was a 3 issue miniseries; the first issue was titled "To tempt the Gods" , the second was "The key to Castle Grayskull" , and the last was "Within these walls... Armageddon!" Hopefully this helps.

Still, good job - overall a huge improvement from your first few MOTUC reviews - its just the 'we' (MOTU fans) expect more from you. I love the white background (better than the red) but yes, work on your levels / hue / saturation etc so that the colours come across better. Catra's review was great.
They should have made the waist articulation a ball joint. Other then that, awesome figure.
I get why Mattel did this one, but it just seems unnecessary. I guess it could be fun to create a new backstory for this Teela. Good job, as usual, Dan! Are you guys excited for Kane County?

I want to say that I loved this figure, will be sure an nice adiction to my collection.
The most amazing in my opinon is the hair, that looks even better than She-Ra.
Thanks again for the great review and the background on this figure. I had no idea this was from the look of Teela in the original DC comic plus with the blond hair she can look like the Teela in the original mini-comic that came with my original He-man. Nice forward thinking Mattel to give us this option. For those who missed out, Super 7 will soon be releasing an "Ultimate" Teela that has both of these head sculpts as well as an additional head sculpt of the original Teela pinned up hair but in blond.

The figure is pretty awesome and nice looking. The waist swivel bothers me though.
She looks absolutely gorgeous. This is the best version of Teela.

When you switched the heads on both versions of Teela, the blonde hair on original teela's body made think that could work as a different version of she-ra
@ultramegatrion I was thinking the same thing lol. A customizer could make look like a valkyrie, ala Valeria, but oh yeah - She-Ra has that look already

LOOKS nice...HATE that shes SHORTER than the original version...HATE that theres no ab articulation...NO reason why there isn't!!...HATE the waist looking awkward when turned...the horsemen REALLY should have thought her through a BIT more

Battle Ground Teela Head, Regular Teela body and She-Ra boots would make a great Teela Sorcerress of the future.
After years of battling Skeletor and his evil warriors, Teela finally decided to retire. Was she tired of battle? Oh no! Had Skeletor finally defeated her? Nope not eiter. You see Teela became a victim of Sexual Molestation and is too ashamed to show her face. If you are an Eternian Warrior Goddess like Teela or know any and have been the victim of this, please seek help. Don't wind up like Teela.

you just know the collectors who buy like 10 of these things will take atleast two of this thing and try to paint red hair and nipples on it, or something, but hey, if they do a good job, would be nice to see a how to guide on here about it, it's people like that who should prophit from their skills atleast

I absolutely ABHOR this Teela. Not only she is not the Teela I am used to, it is such a cheap knock off of "Xena the warrior princess" which feels like was made to pander to the perverts. (removable top, c'mon!!)
I looked online for original Teela and it is $100+.. and this stupid figure is $40. Clearly it was a FAIL.
