It's unbelievable that we managed to get these two in the same room without Degale calling him "ugly kid" or Groves saying his ego is too big. I've never been this nervous watching a podcast. This truly was the best rivalry I'd ever witnessed. Both were outstanding fighters too.
Great episode. Need to get James Degale back on for a longer period of time. Nice to see these two sitting down and being civil to each other and looking comfortable in each others company
Degale did exactly what tony bellew said he was gonna do when he retired but he actually did it and that was step away from the boxing world for the most part and has just been enjoying his life with his friends and family.
Agreed. I went Bellew Cleverly 2 and although the undercard wasn't competitive, the names were stacked. Like look at the shite on Sky Sports now with Boxxer.

@@perrynagpal5351Great boxer but had stamina issues. He would always gas towards end of fight. Look at the Jack fight, he was finished in that. But great boxer
@@Steve-ArfArf Bro I thought DeGale won the Jack fight, he just didn’t get the decision and it was a draw. Unfortunately he had a few injuries like the shoulder after that, but an elite level boxer for sure 🔥🥊

British boxing misses domestic rivalries like the one they had because they made a British/Commonwealth title fight must watch
I absolutely loved that. Felt a bit nostalgic watching it. Would love to see more of James back around boxing. He always cracks me up when he's running his mouth.
Degale was a touch of class a real natural ,great to see em together getting on .both great fighters in there own right, makes ye proud 🇬🇧🏴🇬🇧🏴
Great video. The rivalry and the history is still there, as it always will be, but they seem to be on good terms now. They were having a good laugh too. THANKS!
Loved watching this……two warriors with a history and rivalry going back to when they were young boys……both great lads and fighters…..as a Londoner i could never pick one over the other
I remember watching these 2 box each other. Great fight. I thought degale scraped it at the time. Watched it a few times since and scored it to Groves as well. Degale had skills to burn. Classy as hell. Groves was no slouch either with a superb jab, and a hammer of a right hand.
I'd watch these 2 fight again for sure, loved the rivalry followed it right through. Was amazing to watch the swings back and forth throughout their careers. Groves was a heavy underdog in the first pro fight. Brilliant rivalry 👌
Its so weird because I was literally thinking last night, wonder what James Degales up to nowadays and if he’s done any podcasts Weirder still I was thinking about the question who had a better career of Groves Degale, my outcome was I think Groves had the higher profile career and Degale had the better career in terms of World Level. Great to see them on a podcast together
Enjoyed that! There was genuine needle back then which made a non-world title/final eliminator domestic dust-up really worth tuning in for which doesn’t always happen and it made me follow both your careers from that point onwards (Groves as a fan and DeGale as I was hoping to see him fail!). Great to see the respect between you both
George is now the mediator of the boxing. The new His Excellency in mending relationships. He will have Calzaghe and Froch shaking hands and drinking coffee next.
Hey I was wondering how I missed George having his own channel, just discovered this is the first vid, what an interview to kick it off. Groves one of the best pundits there is so this channel will be great. Big up George Groves!
I smiled from start to finish off this video, chunky is such a great character, there's still a spiky atmosphere when he's in the room. We don't get to see enough of him.....great careers for both men and a great credit to British boxing 🥊🥊
@@adrianhargreaves2854 He really doesn't mate. It would look like the bout he had with Groves except worse cos Groves was out of his prime then. Prime Chunky toys with Eubank Jr

Really enjoy your interviews George, when ever there is a big fight I always look for your opinion on it first ..you seem to be one of the few people that like Eubank jr ..any chance you could do an interview with him and see what he’s doing with his career?
They needed the heat to make the fight what it was. I like Chunky and like Groves even more, brilliant personality and pundit, I actually think when it comes to talking and listening Boxing that Groves is at the top, very articulate and knowledgeable. Wish them both the best of health and hope they carry this forward.
degale has really changed since he has started being treated for his severe adhd hes a lot more calmer and cooler you can see he now calculates his thoughts as they arent constantly trying to escape him, good for him man
Lots of editing involved in this which makes me wonder what was happening in the gaps. Good to see these two together. The dynamic is still like old. Degale constantly trying to sell his career whilst Groves finds it almost too easy to antagonise and not agree with him
